Prime Hotel — Hotel in Windermere

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a troubling incident. During my time there, it became apparent that the hotel staff were involved in stealing guests' belongings. I noticed several items missing from my room, including some valuable personal possessions. When I reported this to the management, they were unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to take any responsibility or provide assistance.

Other guests I spoke to had similar experiences, with many of their belongings also going missing under suspicious circumstances. This created an atmosphere of distrust and discomfort throughout my stay. The lack of security and the evident dishonesty of the staff made it impossible to feel safe or relaxed.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The risk of theft is too high, and the management’s indifference to these serious issues is alarming. It’s clear that they do not prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests. Until they address these problems and ensure a secure environment, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. What a nightmare from the start, a horific experience - would not recommend for anyone. The receptionist was extremely rude and not helpfull at all. We made a booking online, paid with breakfast included. When arriving at the hotel, he said we have to cancel because breakfast was not supposed to be included. After having a no go conversation with this hotel receptionist, we decided to phone the police to open a case of theft because this is not treating your custumers fairly, false advertising and just very wrong. Should we cancel our reservation, we would have lost our money due to the sites terms and conditions of which we respected. All we wanted was for the hotel to honour their bit. None the less, we eventually had to pay for our breakfast, got a room of which looked like their was no maintenance done. And then he made us understand that he did us a favour! Place was nice and I loved the pool area. Breakfast was limited but tasted nice. There’s a guy who was working early shift on Friday the 4th not sure of his name, the one with no hair. That guy is a gem to the property and knows customer service and is free spirited. He’s the type of person the property wouldn’t want to lose.

Parking would be nice if maybe a person got their own remote since there’s load shedding intercom doesn’t work, landline doesn’t work and you have to fall the cellphone number for the gate to be opened which would be a problem if maybe you had no airtime. They could implement a more convenient easier way.
