House Of Curries — Restaurant in Windermere

Just arrived from GP, decided to get dinner and was undecided on what to get so my family and I decided to drive on Florida Road. We eventually decided on a take away lamb bunny and tried HOC. Biggest mistake. Stale food Clearly cooked off premises, frozen and then reheated to serve. Colour all wrong. Turmeric for days. It was so bad, after a few bites we decided to chuck it out and ended up getting KFC (out of convenience).

People of Durban, how do you allow such an embarrassment of our culture and food. This place should be made to change its name and never be associated with curry. Extremely disappointed to the point of anger. How do the owners of this place sleep at night knowing they are ripping people of on a daily.

If you are Indian and you enjoy this food, I am questioning your authenticity. If you’re not Indian and think this is good food, you’re eating from the bottom of the barrel.

HOC, please your food is not worthy to be associated with our culture. Stop ruining our food trademark and take it off your menu. Go do fried chips...

had the worst worst worst expierce in durban here today ....firstly asked for a local durban draft got a heineken complained about it was told that was what I orderd told them multyple times its defnitly not I kept the heineken waited on my lamb curry only to get beef so all ready lost one round of arguing i ate it fuming by this time by incompotent waitors I thought to hell with this ill go buy my own right draft at the bar only to wait in queue ...patiently ...2hen I got to my turn a black gentbcame and stoot next to me the bar man also black asked him what he want he turned pointed at me and said I was first " thank you sir" only for the barman to say its ok ...so "$%@÷÷ this place I will never go here again and found recoment it to anyone only reason it gets 1 star is because I have to give it atleast one.... thought atleast racism was dead all ready but...

Went out for my birthday and decided to go to one of our favourite places (well not anymore), House of Curries.

I ordered the Beef Chip chow and my fiancée ordered the chicken and prawn chip chow.

We waited about an hour for our food and when it arrived it was very cold and tasteless. The beef was tough and chewy and the food is general was very bland.

I am super disappointed as this used to be one of my favourite places to go and the food used to be amazing.

I must add that I had a very nice waitress who did her best (Nqobile - thank you for your service) but I am still utterly disappointed with the food that was served and the wait.

Needless to say, I don't think I will be back for a while - if I do ever go...
