Bird & Co Florida Road — Restaurant in Windermere

I had read good reviews about the food at this establishment so when i decided to try it I was very disappointed with the lack of service that i left without ordering. I visited them 27/03/2019 @ approx 19.30. Stood in the line to place my order. When it was my turn, the cashier got caught up with dealing with the dishes that the kitchen was sending out. I waited, she started to take my order then she started dealing with the kitchen again. I still waited. The man who i am going to assume was the manager and was delivering the meals to the tables could see that i was getting irritated, apologised to me in a very abrupt manner stating that they are busy and that i must understand after i told him that i am unable to even place an order. He then instructed the cashier to take my order. She did not and continued dealing with the kitchen. The manager returned to the cashier table and asked the lady if she took my order and i replied with, "she has still not taken my order and i walked out." All establishments that provide a service or product that they expect people to pay for should know that customer service is a priority. If you need to communicate, do so in a manner that you would like to be spoken to. I am paying so i have the choice. I would have rated zero...

Get here! Stopped in to grab a quick takeaway meal as we were headed to a meeting.

You know when you look at a menu and you're saying nah, next, nah, next ... well not here! I would have been happy to have anything off their menu.

So spoilt for choice, we chose 2 burgers - Thunderbird - chicken breast topped with a sweet thai chilli mayo, coriander, tomato, avo and chips & Backfire Burger - chicken breast topped with peri mayo, avo, feta and chips. Not wanting to wondering what I was missing, we shared the burgers. I'm an avo, feta, pepperdew and coriander girl so felt like I'd died and gone to heaven 😍 Both burgers were yummy! Soft, juicy tender chicken with generous toppings and great chips too!

Cant wait to get back and work my way through their menu. Friendly staff, chilled vibe, highly recommended.

Popped in for a quick take-away meal. Was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, informative as she advised us on the best sellers and famous dishes . Settled for the crumbed chicken strips and chips, and the B&C's battered chicken burger. The food came expertly packaged, sturdy and definitely able to withstand the drive home without taking any damage 👍. The chicken strips were marvelous, tender breast strips, coated with a crispy but light coating that crunched with every bite taken. The burger is very, very good. A whole chicken breast, with a crispy battered coating that is very reminiscent of the southern-style deep fried technique. Fresh, crispy and wholesome flavours. Topped with fresh soft-leafed lettuce, and a zingy lime coleslaw, all held together by a generous , soft sesame seed bun. Fantastic. Both these dishes are accompanied by crispy , golden, perfectly fried French fries. Great experience, will be back to sample their pizzas soon 😋....
