This hotel is located directly across the sea so if you get the ocean view room then it would be nice. If you book the partial ocean view room you can still see the ocean too. The room is small but still acceptable even for 3 persons. The reception informed that they provided the bathroom towel and water bottle ( he even gave us the paper note about the hotel regulations ) but during our stay there's none given so we must always asked at the reception daily cause if the first day you already asked, then the second day it will be taken out by the housekeeping. There's even a day where they said they didn't have any bathroom towel and water. They should put the info clearly in the booking information whether they want to give towel and water or not rather than gave inconsistent service. There's no safe deposit box in the room and no toilet shower as well. The bathroom was a bit challenging as they put the shower in the wall on top of the bathtub but without a shower curtain. So you must take a bath carefully if you stand else water will splash everywhere or you squat during bath. They didn't provide any bathroom amenities too so make sure you bring your soap and shampoo. There's once where the housekeeping didn't even clear up the trash bin in our room. The hotel wall looked deteriorated as some of the wallpaper damaged and the carpet looks dirty in some spots. The restaurant was not available to use when we were there. There's however a mini mart where you can buy things. The hotel has some parking lot in front and in the basement. If you walk out from the hotel and go to the right then there are a lot of restaurants and other hotels as well. The sand in front of the hotel usually covered with sea water and it will be dry around 10 AM till about 5 PM so you can play there. Otherwise you must go about 1 km right side of the hotel to Cafe Del Mondo location to play sand as I think it is the center of the fun. One of the good thing in this hotel was one of their reception can converse in English very good so it helps if you don't understand Korean. It's also nice that the weather was quite cool so we don't have to use air conditioner during our stay. Just open the balcony door and let the sea breeze came in. Unfortunately I couldn't find any self/coin laundry in or around the hotel so make sure you count your clothes well. In summary, I would suggest to find another hotel to book if you asked me, unless you really only need a place to sleep as I had seen a worse one, the one I would give extra...

Read moreI stayed in hamdeok beach hotel for 3 nights with my 2 kids and my mother.we stayed in 2 rooms facing city since sea view rooms were all booked.|| As advertised, draft beer was provided for free and could even taken into room(of course we returned the glasses next day to downstairs not leaving inside room). Since we stayed there more than 2 nights, one portion of Jeju's signature black pig meat was complimentary which was very nice with free flow of condiments such as lettuce, side dishes. ||Although I liked the breakfast, foreigners might find breakfast hard to eat(as I had read in other reviews) since it was mainly Korean food. Rice, 3 kinds of soup(seaweed, kimchi, miso soup) changing everyday, 3 kinds of side dishes(bean sprouts, spicy dried radish, sweet black bean boiled in soy sauce), chicken nuggets. No eggs,sausages,bacon....no western choices which I don't really eat so I had no problem with choices. Toast bread and strawberry jam came out everyday. Coffee ,green tea and orange juice. It was plenty of choices FOR FREE. Cannot complain too much. ||Room was alright. It had a small fridge, a kettle, mugs and a hob but we didn't use. As mentioned by other reviews, smell from toilet was there in the room all the time so I closed the toilet door then it was fine. After a while it was not noticeable unless you have sensitive nose. Tooth brushes and paste and cups were provided. Small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as well. Two bottles of water were inside of fridge. ||Overall, amemities were good for a value hotel. I had an impression that they are not stingy with many things. ||Hotel was right in front of beautiful Hamdeok beach. Having breakfast overlooking crystal blue Hamdeok beach was wonderful. Along the beach, there were plenty of other restaurants. We even had a famous Jeju silver Hairtail near hotel. After dinner everyday, we walked the beach. If you have young children, they will love to find sea creatures in rockpools. Lots of crabs, shrimps, hermit crabs....etc. ||I chose this hotel for the first hotel as a hub to reach North and East side of Jeju. You can reach major tourist spots within an hour such as Seongsan ilchulbong, nosan-lo for canola festival, aquarium, folk village....etc. ||I would definately want to...
