Jeju Hotel Joy, Jeju — Hotel in Jeju

I gave this hotel a star and i wish if i can rate it less than zero!

Arrived late at night, the guy at the counter speak no english so we were communicating through translation app. The reception - the cover of the hotel- was disgusting and not clean with a lot of bugs plus smell bad !!! Facilities elevator/ corridor not clean and also smells bad.

Went to the room and found the inside lock broken, with what i have seen. Decided to get my money and leave to another hotel. Went back to the reciption only about 5- 10 mins from entering the room that i didnt even sat down at. Had difficulty to communicate again, and guess what when i was saying that i do speak english only. He said you are in korea no english !!!

When described the issue of the lock and request my money he refused to return any of it. So i told him ill call the police cause this is stealing my money!

Then after so many arrangements he returned the rest of the nights money except the arrival night money so i had to sleep there unfortunately!!!

Bed were so hard and sheet smells so bad !! The edges of the room had accumulated dirts and some of the lights are burnt.

Im on budget like most of travelers as i spent most of my time outside but staying in a clean and comfortable place i think very important in addition to the cost as it will impact your comfort and sleep.

Not recommended even for a night stay !! Pay a lityle more for a clean and...

Very terrible check in process! The Cust service lady (Liu) required us to pay extra cash for 3rd person during on webcam communication with her, which we have fully paid through TrIp.com for 3 adults with breakfast! Luckily we managed to contact TrIp.com about this extra changes things required by hotel, trip.com have confirmed our booking is fully paid, and Trip.com called twice to the hotel, then settled! It took an hour wasted just waited the clarification process!Beware of these kind of scam !!!! Will not recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives...

The name is deceiving...

There was not one thing positive about our stay. This is a VERY dated "hotel" with seedy people all around.

The first thing we noticed was that the bathrooms were covered in black mold. We were given, what felt like and looked like, used towels. We chose not to shower during our stay.
