As an American, this hotel is horrible. Starting with the rooms. The beds are just 2 spring boxes stacked on top of each other. No cushion. Very uncomfortable. The rooms and halls are filled with dirty old carpet. Nothing is upgraded. There are mosquitos in the hotel and rooms. Also, we booked this hotel because it said that they had air conditioning. Upon entering the stuffy room, we called the front desk to tell them that the AC wasn’t working. They said they wouldn’t turn them on in the middle of the October heat. They control the AC. They told us to open the single window and offered us electric fans. We were left to sweat in our sleep for 3 nights. The front desk were nice and comfortable and definitely had their AC in the lobby. The front desk/ customer service were the most unfriendliest and unhelpful during our stay in Korea. We wanted the hotel to reserve a large taxi to accommodate 6 luggage bag, for the next morning. We explained that we needed a large, specifically. They told us to ask them the next morning. As nonresidents, we ourselves can’t reserve large taxis. The hotels have to. When the next morning came. They told us the large taxis needed to be reserved the day before. So frustrating. They offered to order us 3 small taxis instead.
I wouldn’t recommend staying at the hotel for it being so old, refusal to allow the use of AC. Not listening for our request to reserve us a large taxi for...
Read moreSmoking and loud. First night was great as it was quiet and not smelling smoke. Rooms are clean and nice floors in the hotel building number two. Second day...the room was smokey smell as neighbouring room was smoking in the washroom and the ventilation is connected. Called the concierge but they say they can't do anything for my second night and gave me a glade scent spray but they did offer to change rooms on my third night in the main building. The room in main building appeared older than building two as the floor were old carpets versus the laminate but rooms were clean and not smokey smelling..however in the evening the ajummah living near were loud talking and sometimes yelling and door slamming or they didn't know how to close their doors quietly. However sleep they slept at 10pm as it was quiet but woke up talking loudly at 6am. So this hotel is fine in terms of the room but the external factors like smoking and loudness can't be controlled. I was lucky on my 2 and 3rd night. The airport is nearby ...costed me 5000 won to get there. Concierge helped me order the taxi. The hotel is in a great location...right next to the underground shopping..near dongmin market and a ten min walk to the...
Read moreUnfortunately, I am not satisfied with this hotel. It is one of the worst I have stayed at in Asia. The cleanliness was very poor. In the room, there was a thick layer of gray dust in the corners of the walls, which looked like it had been there for years. In the bathroom, there were many hairs on the floor — I’m not sure if they were from the cleaning staff or previous guests.
The hotel had no staff at all, everything was done through self check-in. Even the luggage storage was simply an open area where you leave your belongings, and anyone could easily take them. Although there was a sign saying the area was monitored, I would not want to risk losing my luggage on the day of my flight and having to deal with the police because of it. I found this quite irresponsible.
However, the biggest issue was still the lack of cleanliness. The hotel is also old and has not been renovated for a long time, which makes the standard very low.
The only positive aspect is the location, which is very good — close to the market and the...
