Had to wait about 30 mins before getting a seat. Take a number from the restaurant and go to a nearby indoor waiting area to rest before your number is called.
They are prepared with an English menu but it's not necessary as there are only 4 items on the menu. Bracken soup (taste like tuna/mackerel), seaweed soup, beef soup with beef blood (blood is removable) and a pancake.
Bracken seems to be cooked with either pork or beef. Not very sure but it's the best selling item and all the Koreans seems to be ordering this only. However decided to try the beef soup as well.
Bracken soup was thick and savory as many have feedback and you will never go wrong with this despite the appearance. However beef soup was a mistake. Not sure if it's because of the blood but there is a strong smell. This smell is usually associated with beef brisket. I did not order the seaweed soup as it seems kinda basic. But I ordered the pancake and it was delicious!
Overall just order Bracken soup n pancake and you won't go wrong.
Parking is not free and you have to pay 1,000 for the first hour and 500won for subsequent hour if I'm not wrong. It's not expensive but the system appears to only accept local credit cards? So a few other tourist along with my car were trapped as we try to navigate this. Luckily a local helped with paying and was kind enough not to accept the money.
Advice, just park somewhere else nearer to save yourself this hassle of...
Read moreGreat place for handover soup. We discovered this place when we were staying at a nearby hotel when our flight got cancelled.
The restaurant has a queue system. The staff will give you a number, and invite you to the waiting area near the restaurant. Number will be called in Korean through the PA system so it’ll be a good idea to take note of the people who took a queue number before you. Another option is to occasionally go back to the restaurant to check with the staff.
Staff are really nice and understanding because we did not understand their system. They will immediately serve the free sides to you. Menu is on the wall in Korean so you can use Google Translate to view it, or you can ask the staff for a “menu” (the understand that) and they will show you the pictures to choose from. We ordered the drinks by looking at their chiller and pointing.
All dishes were good.
Payment is by...
Read moreThe best gosary(bracken) stew restaurent. We had to wait for an hour and share the table but it was worth it. When you arrive the restaurent and ask for a seat, serving lady will either show you the seat or give you a slip of paper with number printed. The number is your turn. You have to ask her how long you have to wait and you can wait at the waiting room located at the right side of the restaurent. They will call the number when table is ready. Unfortunatelly number is called only in Korean so u have to ask around if the number is urs. Serving people were kind and nice and most of all, the stew was really really nice. It was really thick full of gosari and minced beef. If u want to try more authentic dish, mom-guk is popular too. Mom, o as ou, is a kind of sea weed locally produced and known to good for clearing...
