Money wasted and terrible service! I’ll start with the only good thing about this hotel which was it’s location because you can walk to the village. My dad booked this hotel via Agoda and there is no way to make a cancellation or refund so be careful!
There is no temperature control! The thermostat didn’t work and so my parents and I were sweating balls because it was so hot. Tried to open the windows, but there are no screens to keep the mosquitoes out. I actually got a couple mosquito bites!
they give you two towels per person, but they’re both the hand towels! Floor mat provided. Had to ask for another towel.
terrible service! We paid for one room and for 3 people. Their policy is two people max and so we paid an extra 30,000 won for the third person. my dad slept on the floor with a very thin blanket, so we asked for another one and they said they would charge another 10,000 won per night for the extra thin blanket. 😑. So we tell them okay we will pay for it. We wait, and after an hour no one brings it. We ask them, “hey where’s the second blanket we asked for? And they say, you have to pay upfront for that.” 😑so we pay them and we finally got it. I just felt like they were nickel and diming us. It also felt like pulling teeth trying to get any kind of service here.
I get that it’s a struggle running a business. I get why they were hesitant to give us another single bar of soap thats smaller than the palm of your hand.. there are costs there, what like 50 cents? But it costs nothing to have a good attitude and at least try to make up for the inadequacies in other ways. You’re in the hospitality business, it’s your job to be...
Read moreI’m writing this review on 7/15/2023 for our reservation on the same day. Due to the heavy rain and floods in Korea, we didn’t think It would be safe for us to travel to the hotel from Seoul and wanted to cancel our reservation. I tried to reach out about the cancellation through the booking company (Agoda), but they were not able process the cancellation without charging the penalty fee of the late cancellation. I tried to appeal (in Korean) to the hotel that we didn’t feel safe to travel due to the weather conditions, but they would not confirm to Agoda that they would waive the cancellation fee since the hotel could not communicate with Agoda in English. I was surprised that a hotel in Jeon-Ju could not communicate in English, especially with the international 3rd party platform they use for bookings. I have already cancelled the reservations anyways and will be going through my credit card company to request a refund. What a...
Read moreThe place is relatively clean although there are mosquitoes inside the room so you gotta spray the mosquito spray so that it wont bite you when u sleep xD Location wise is pretty good in a sense that it is near attractions, church, and the hanok village. Its just that at night its pretty dark so if youre a girl alone, best not to stay up until late. The reception was really nice and friendly, he made me feel welcomed! Amenities are also not bad, all the necessities are covered and the soap smells vv nice xD (pls dont mind the bed in the second picture… haha thats when i left but it was rly neat...
