I recently stayed at the 5-star Parnas Hotel in Jeju, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.Upon checking into our room, we discovered the indoor temperature was uncomfortably hot at 27°C. We immediately reported the issue, and a technician came by, informing us there was a blockage causing the problem. As we couldn't settle in, we left our belongings packed and went out for about an hour. Upon returning, the temperature had only slightly dropped to 26.5°C, prompting us to request a room change. Due to the peak season, the only available option was a lower-floor room.Although the air conditioning issue was resolved in the new room, we soon noticed a strong cigarette odor. Initially mild, the smell intensified shortly after opening the balcony door for ventilation. To our dismay, we discovered that our balcony was situated directly above a smoking area, with approximately ten people smoking right beneath us. The hotel staff had failed to mention this significant inconvenience when assigning us this room. Moreover, the new room had a considerably smaller bathroom, half the size of the original, and the fixed shower head was at chest height, even for my child, making it impractical for proper use.We raised another complaint but were told no other rooms were available that day. The next day, the hotel finally provided a room located far from the smoking area. Despite the inconvenience of repacking and relocating once again, we appreciated the hotel's gesture of offering fruits as an amenity and tried to enjoy our stay, especially since the infinity pool was excellent. However, our relief was short-lived. To our shock, we found blood stains on one pillow and the middle of the bed sheet in the newly assigned room. My family and I confirmed none of us were injured, indicating a serious lapse in the hotel's cleanliness standards. We immediately called the front desk, requesting replacements, but disappointingly received no further apologies or acknowledgment from the staff during our stay.Upon checkout, there was still no proactive apology until after settling our additional charges. When I questioned the lack of communication, the staff mentioned they had called our room, claiming we did not answer. Considering we weren't confined to our room, they had ample alternative ways to communicate, such as leaving a simple note.Only after we left for the airport did a manager contact me personally, offering a room upgrade for our next stay. Unfortunately, there won't be a next time. A proactive approach during our stay would have made all the difference.Overall, based on my experience, I would advise potential guests to consider these issues carefully...

It was our first time as a family of 3, heading to Jeju. We decided to stay in 2 areas, Seogwipo for the first half of the trip and around Jeju City during the second half. After looking through hotels, we decided to go with Parnas Hotel during our time in Seogwipo. We were there for a total of 4 nights in mid-Feb and I must say we really enjoyed our time there!
As we rented a car, we had to find an accommodation that had free parking and Parnas provided that. As we were walking with our luggages and our 2 year old toddler, towards the hotel after parking the car, the guest services staff had already spotted us from afar and assisted us with our bags!
I was greeted by Mr Henry Choi during check-in and although we had some difficulties conversing, but his English was not that bad! He did his best to answer my questions - e.g where I could go to find baby diapers.
We had some difficulties during the stay as we weren't provided the charging card for our electric car from the rental company (totally my fault as I ASSUMED since the hotel had the charging machine, I wouldn't need the card LOL) & on a side note, the car rental company was more than an hour drive away. There were 2 occasions where we DESPERATELY needed to charge the car and the concierge staff, Mr Ethan was really a life saviour! He assisted us by paying for it on his card and we paid him cash in return. He was extremely nice and we were so grateful for him during our stay there!
We were also assisted by Concierge staff, Ms Yuri Choi who kindly helped us load our luggages back to the car when we were checking out. I also wanted to make a reservation at a specific restaurant which I was trying to contact for days but couldn't get through. Turns out, the restaurant closed down. Ms Yuri immediately helped to search on her phone for alternatives and asked if we needed her help to book.
Overall, we would definitely come back again to Parnas since we didn't manage to try the pool! The room was huge with an amazing view. Convenience stores nearby! Loved the bakery next to the hotel as well. Room service was amazing too!
Cons: Downside to it was, the parking lots would get really full from 7/8pm onwards, so you'd have to park at the other carpark which is really quite a distance to walk to/fro the hotel. We felt the pillows could...
Read moreWe stayed at the Club Prestige Suite for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ||The lobby area was beautifully decorated with the views of the ocean through the large glass windows. The reception was very friendly and helpful. ||Although we did not book an ocean view suite, we were happy with the partial ocean view from the master bedroom and the balcony. The two rooms were conveniently laid out with a living room in the middle and each bedroom with its own ensuite. ||The hotel is situated right by Jungmun Beach with great views of the ocean from many areas. Although the walk down to the beach isn’t stroller friendly, we managed to walk down the steps with a baby and a child. I had previously stayed at Shilla Hotel next door and the walk down to the beach could be equally challenging with little ones. The beach is scenic with golden sand and black rocks. ||We were satisfied that we opted in for the club lounge. The hotel itself was not busy in March and the club lounge definitely provided extra privacy. We had daily breakfast at the main restaurant, Confetti featuring a variety of Korean, Western and Chinese cuisines. We also tried afternoon tea at the club lounge. It did not have too many food options but served good quality snacks. They had limited options as we had two small children and the lounge did not allow children in the evening. However, we were pleasantly surprised that they arranged a special dinner for us at the main restaurant to accommodate children.||Everyone we met at the hotel were extremely caring and attentive including a security guard who went above and beyond and personally escorted us when we asked for directions. ||We used the kids club a couple of times and we were the only ones there. It was very spacious and clean. ||We used the complimentary parking and drove our rental car all over the island. ||All in all, we really enjoyed the hotel as a base to discover...
