View @ The Cliff. . Overlooking the picturesque Jungmun Beach, The Cliff (더클리프카페) is a modern gastrobar and beach club for the young and trendy. . Expect this instagrammable place to be packed especially during sunset, when the gorgeous views surrounding The Cliff are awash in nature's warm and cool colours. . Ambience at The Cliff is styled like a tropical tiki bar and beach club. Step past the glitter and sequin decorated entrance, and you'll be greeted by a spacious indoor area lit by colourful neon signages, arrayed with metal and wooden furnishings of regular and standing height. At the semi-sheltered al-fresco outdoor area are plush cushioned beach chairs and decorative surfboards . Service at The Cliff is largely self-service, with ordering, payment, and collection over the counter. Some of the young staff are able to converse in English, and the menu has items listed in both Korean and English. That said, some pictures would be more helpful. I also note that cleaning up is done leisurely. For the older folks, the music plays a little too loud - the volume induces people to lean in close to converse. . Read moreYou get to serve yourself at the bar, that's why I only put 2 stars for service, otherwise the barman was very nice and spoke good English. I took a coconut, which unfortunately only had coconut water inside a d no opening nor spoon provided so you can eat from it. As such it appeared a bit expensive 16k, given that an ipa on the tap is 13k for 33cl. I also took a cocktail which was very good, though a bit too sugary. Finally I ordered snacks and got a wonderful basket of Korean snacks (well some imported from the Philippines) but it was worthwhile we had a lot of fun discovering the different flavours. Except for one, the dried fish sticks, that I even offered to an errand cat who didn't want them 😂 The terrace is very nice and cosy, with a superb view. Unfortunately many tourists come and make videos of it without even bothering that you're in the background. Inside the music may be a bit loud for some people, but very good dj and a nice atmosphere.a refreshening taste of...
Read moreExtremely overpriced place! A beer for 12000Won? That is more than a 5 star hotel in NY! Half of the menu is entire bottle, all the way up to 1,000,000 Won they trying to get your money that way. Does not have local craft beers, not many beer selections, you get Cass and Terra for 12000 Won (12USD)as well.
Lots of fun games, darts, pool table etc, that is good.
Exterior design is very relaxing, beach vibe, but until you go inside, it becomes over the top “cheesy luxury” everything black and shiny without really good taste to match. You would of assume they make it a high end tiki bar like “Casa Carona” in Seoul. Nope this place is far from that.
Service was lacking, 2 server at the bar doesn’t smile doesn’t say hi, just sit there and look at you without any hospitality.
Hopefully they improve but for now, this place seem like a trying too...
