There was a general odor problem in the rooms, especially in the bedroom. To mask this smell, they used a strong air freshener in the corridors, which was extremely unpleasant. Due to the musty smell in the room, we had to change our room. They assisted us with this, and we moved to a room that smelled slightly less. The beds were not comfortable at all, especially the pull-out sofa bed, where the metal parts poked through in many places, making it difficult to get in and out of bed. In both rooms, after taking a shower, water from the shower cabin splashed onto the bathroom floor, causing excessive wetness and creating a slipping hazard. On the positive side, the hotel's location and proximity to the sea were good. The breakfast was delicious. However, one of the bar staff, particularly the older woman, seemed tense and was not very polite. The hotel's lobby and breakfast area were stylish and clean, and we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms. The cleaning staff was polite and did their job well. Nonetheless, I don't think I would choose this hotel again.

Since I couldn’t reply directly to your comment, I am adding my response to my existing comment. Hello again, as you mentioned, you were not the one who welcomed us. Since we arrived late at night, we took our room key from the locker. When we went to the room, we realized that the room mentioned in the email and the room indicated on the key were not the same when we couldn’t open the door. In this case, we went to the room indicated on the key. The main issue with the room was not just the uncomfortable bed but the very strong and bad smell of mold and dampness. Since this smell had permeated the curtains and the bedhead, we were quite uncomfortable that night. The next day, we talked with your colleague at the reception about the smell and requested a room change, and I have already mentioned that we received help in this matter. As for the bed, the only solution to make the bed from the pull-out sofa comfortable was to replace the sofa. We didn’t mention this because we thought replacing the whole sofa would be a cumbersome task. You can experience the discomfort of the bed yourself by spending a night on it. Regarding the staff, I specifically mentioned only one person. My comment about the cleanliness of the room was...

We stayed in Bonavita Pines — and we were really happy with our choice!

✅ Pros: Location: • Our building wasn’t right on the beach, but it took just a minute to get there. • We often walked to the main building (with reception and bar) to relax on the loungers — which we actually enjoyed as a small daily walk.

Bonavita Pines building: • There are two pools — one for adults and one for kids. Very family-friendly vibe. • Super quiet and private — we only heard neighbors on the stairs occasionally.

Apartment: • We booked a double, but were given an apartment with two beds — nice surprise! • Curtains were great — we could block almost all the light and sleep in total darkness. • Safe was very spacious — fit a laptop, two iPads, wallets, and documents. • Tons of wall hooks — like a wooden panel with hanging knobs. Super useful. • There were also cozy blankets for added comfort. • Room was cleaned daily, towels changed often.

Kitchen: • Had all we needed: kettle, microwave, fridge, basic cookware, glasses, mugs, wine glasses. • We mostly ate out but made simple meals (boiled eggs, tea, etc.).

Extras: • Free beach towels available daily — thick and wide, perfect for lounging on the sand. • The shower worked perfectly: strong water pressure, good temperature control. • Shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, and hand soap were provided in big bottles. • Two water glasses in the room + many more in the kitchen.

Staff: • Everyone was super friendly — especially the girls at the bar and a helpful guy always around the property. Big thanks to them!

Convenience: • Small shop 2 minutes away, big Lidl about 10 minutes on foot. • Beach was always easy to access.

Balcony view: • We had a fantastic view — partly of the sea, and mostly of the mountains. Loved it. • The area around Pines was calm and relaxing, perfect for chilling on the loungers.

❗️Cons:

• The internet is very poor. Relied on my mobile internet 95% of time. • The gate at the entrance didn’t always read our card on the first try — took a bit of fiddling. • Stairs in the building are a bit steep, so carrying heavy luggage up wasn’t super easy —...

I really wish I could give a better review but I need to tell the truth of my experience

  1. the apartment I got was small and dated inside. This is NOT renovated or NOT new or modern furniture at all inside. I was very disappointed by this. While the photos are “accurate”, the way they are taken might lead you to believe that inside is new and looks very nice. But in reality, it’s old and dated inside. It doesn’t give a high end or premium or renovated feeling. The air conditioning is dated. Bathroom was small. One window did not close properly. As we all know, hotel photos taken by professional photographers can be deceiving :-(
  2. there was a bad smell from the bathroom, like sewer type of smell, that you could smell from the bedroom
  3. once I complained to the owner about the smell, there was no reply to my messages on what’s app 3 bis) since the owner replied to the review, I firmly reiterate that no reply was received on what’s app, no call was made, and no solution to the smell was provided. The fact is that the owner stopped replying. It’s an uncomfortable feeling when the owner communicates very well and very quickly during the booking process, then stops replying abruptly as soon as there is an issue… that’s why I mentioned it.
  4. the walls are very thin. You can hear everything from the neighbors, and they can hear you very well too. For example we can hear the neighbor’s alarm clock in the morning
  5. the safe is very small, you can’t fit a 12 inch laptop inside for example. It’s important to be aware if you have large and valuable objects. They won’t fit. Therefore you will need to bring them with you or you will have to leave them outside of the safe.

On the other hand:

  1. great location on the beach which is very nice
  2. the grounds are pretty and clean
  3. the owner was very helpful and very responsive when we forgot our keys. We’re thankful for that
  4. the area is very quiet
  5. parking is in the street. Plenty of space in low season. Not sure...

Fantastyczne miejsce, pełne dobrych emocji i miłych, życzliwych ludzi. Lokalizacja hotelu jak z bajki - dosłownie nad samą plażą, od przyjemnych i wygodnych balkonów do plaży dzieli tylko cudowny ogród. W ogrodzie gustownie rozmieszczono kilka wygodnych łóżek balijskich i leżaków, pośród relaksującej zieleni i w cieniu tropikalnych drzew. Pokoje przytulne i czyste, codziennie porządnie sprzątane. Wszyscy mili, uśmiechnięci i zawsze pomocni. Nie było sprawy, której nie dało się załatwić, ani problemu, którego nie można było rozwiązać. A jakie smaczne i pożywne, świetnie zbilansowane śniadania!!! Fantastic place, full of good emotions and nice, kind people. The location of the hotel is like a fairy tale - literally right on the beach, only a wonderful garden separates the pleasant and comfortable balconies to the beach. Several comfortable Balinese beds and sun loungers are tastefully placed in the garden, amidst relaxing greenery and shaded by tropical trees. Rooms cozy and clean, properly cleaned every day. It smells clean all over the place. The whole crew is always smiling, from the amazing Alberto, through the charming Rebecca, to all the cleaning ladies and the gentleman who took care of the garden. Everyone is nice, smiling and always helpful. There was no problem that could not be solved. And what a tasty and nutritious, perfectly balanced breakfasts!!! Everyone will find something for themselves and nourish themselves for a good start to the day, and the coffee they serve is always aromatic and extremely tasty. Bonavida is a place where you can easily relax and thoroughly rest, in the spirit of true "slow life", enjoy the charms of paradise. Our nearly five-year-old daughter felt at home there from the very first moments. We will definitely come back there. The only regret is that I did not rent a bike and ride around the area, but not enough time for everything. I will definitely do it next time.
