There was a general odor problem in the rooms, especially in the bedroom. To mask this smell, they used a strong air freshener in the corridors, which was extremely unpleasant. Due to the musty smell in the room, we had to change our room. They assisted us with this, and we moved to a room that smelled slightly less. The beds were not comfortable at all, especially the pull-out sofa bed, where the metal parts poked through in many places, making it difficult to get in and out of bed. In both rooms, after taking a shower, water from the shower cabin splashed onto the bathroom floor, causing excessive wetness and creating a slipping hazard. On the positive side, the hotel's location and proximity to the sea were good. The breakfast was delicious. However, one of the bar staff, particularly the older woman, seemed tense and was not very polite. The hotel's lobby and breakfast area were stylish and clean, and we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms. The cleaning staff was polite and did their job well. Nonetheless, I don't think I would choose this hotel again.
Since I couldn’t reply directly to your comment, I am adding my response to my existing comment. Hello again, as you mentioned, you were not the one who welcomed us. Since we arrived late at night, we took our room key from the locker. When we went to the room, we realized that the room mentioned in the email and the room indicated on the key were not the same when we couldn’t open the door. In this case, we went to the room indicated on the key. The main issue with the room was not just the uncomfortable bed but the very strong and bad smell of mold and dampness. Since this smell had permeated the curtains and the bedhead, we were quite uncomfortable that night. The next day, we talked with your colleague at the reception about the smell and requested a room change, and I have already mentioned that we received help in this matter. As for the bed, the only solution to make the bed from the pull-out sofa comfortable was to replace the sofa. We didn’t mention this because we thought replacing the whole sofa would be a cumbersome task. You can experience the discomfort of the bed yourself by spending a night on it. Regarding the staff, I specifically mentioned only one person. My comment about the cleanliness of the room was...
Read moreWe stayed in Bonavita Pines — and we were really happy with our choice!
✅ Pros: Location: • Our building wasn’t right on the beach, but it took just a minute to get there. • We often walked to the main building (with reception and bar) to relax on the loungers — which we actually enjoyed as a small daily walk.
Bonavita Pines building: • There are two pools — one for adults and one for kids. Very family-friendly vibe. • Super quiet and private — we only heard neighbors on the stairs occasionally.
Apartment: • We booked a double, but were given an apartment with two beds — nice surprise! • Curtains were great — we could block almost all the light and sleep in total darkness. • Safe was very spacious — fit a laptop, two iPads, wallets, and documents. • Tons of wall hooks — like a wooden panel with hanging knobs. Super useful. • There were also cozy blankets for added comfort. • Room was cleaned daily, towels changed often.
Kitchen: • Had all we needed: kettle, microwave, fridge, basic cookware, glasses, mugs, wine glasses. • We mostly ate out but made simple meals (boiled eggs, tea, etc.).
Extras: • Free beach towels available daily — thick and wide, perfect for lounging on the sand. • The shower worked perfectly: strong water pressure, good temperature control. • Shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, and hand soap were provided in big bottles. • Two water glasses in the room + many more in the kitchen.
Staff: • Everyone was super friendly — especially the girls at the bar and a helpful guy always around the property. Big thanks to them!
Convenience: • Small shop 2 minutes away, big Lidl about 10 minutes on foot. • Beach was always easy to access.
Balcony view: • We had a fantastic view — partly of the sea, and mostly of the mountains. Loved it. • The area around Pines was calm and relaxing, perfect for chilling on the loungers.
❗️Cons:
• The internet is very poor. Relied on my mobile internet 95% of time. • The gate at the entrance didn’t always read our card on the first try — took a bit of fiddling. • Stairs in the building are a bit steep, so carrying heavy luggage up wasn’t super easy —...
