Visited Bistro Bel after a long daytrip to Palma City. We were really hungry and ordered drinks and bread+aioli. Two out of 3 drinks was served, and no bread+aioli. Then we ordered mains, my wife had the chicken escalope, it was like a rubber shoesole, not possible to eat. Daughter and I, ordered some starters/tapas as it was called in the menu. I had the shrimps on sticks with sweetchilli sauce, chicken sticks, with same sauce, onion rings and patatas bravas. Potatoes was deep fried, allready soggy and drenched in a thick layer of lardy aioli, topped with some barbecue/ketchup sauce from a bottle. Onion rings were cold in the middle and chicken sticks was so dry and rubbery that I could stretch it like chewing gum. Service was so bad, that when we complained, the waitor got one of his co workers to hand over the check. To Bistro Bel, don't try to pretend you can cook decent "tapas" when you dont know how to do it. Replace these items on your menu and lower your skill-level. To you, planning to eat here tonight or any night of your vacation, stay clear of this place if you dont want a dissapointing food and service experience. There's a lot of excellent restaurants...
Read moreAfter walking up and down the beach front to and from the port in what felt like several hours on an extremely hot evening, and struggling to find anywhere that had availability and the ability to accommodate my party of 10, all of which have very different food palettes. We stumbled upon this somewhat quiet establishment.
We arrived only an hour or so before close but the waiters were happy to re configure the tables to suit. We were able to separate the orders into 3 different families and the drinks were delivered nice and swiftly.
Amongst the food orders were the garlic bread, patatas bravas, crispy chicken burger, lasagne, steak, escalope, vegetarian burger etc.
The food was absolutely beautiful. The most notable being the lasagne and the patatas bravas. The vegetarian burger was Also labelled “the best I’ve ever had” by our meat free member.
The most surprising thing was the cost of the meals as they matched other local restaurants, but exceeded the rest in terms of quality! We were all very pleased with our experience and have since recommended to other tourists in our hotel.

Read moreYesterday I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever encountered in customer service inside Bella Bel. I was waiting for my bus to the airport and, just before it arrived, I ran inside in a rush to ask if I could quickly use the toilet. The man inside (who I believe was the manager) refused, saying I wasn’t a customer. I explained that my bus was due any minute, I was desperate, and I had a long journey ahead to the airport. He still refused. I even offered to buy a drink quickly just so I could qualify as a customer, but he dismissed me and told me to try a pub down the road—knowing full well I had no time before my bus. I can’t comment on the food, but this was without doubt the most unhelpful and inhumane customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review like this before, but the lack of basic compassion in this situation...
