Staying at Soho House Barcelona is an experience that transcends typical hospitality. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city, this exclusive members’ club offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and a genuine sense of community that is hard to find elsewhere.

From the moment you step into Soho House Barcelona, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The interior design effortlessly combines chic modernity with timeless elegance, creating spaces that are not only visually stunning but also incredibly comfortable.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Soho House Barcelona is its community. Being a member of this prestigious club is not just about enjoying luxurious amenities; it’s about becoming part of a dynamic network of like-minded individuals. The club attracts a diverse range of creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators, providing endless opportunities for meaningful connections and inspiring conversations.

The facilities are top-notch, with a range of beautifully designed spaces for dining, working, and relaxing. The rooftop pool offers breathtaking views of the city and the sea, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The food and drink options are exquisite, featuring locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted dishes that cater to every palate.

One unique aspect of Soho House Barcelona is its strict no-photos policy. While this might seem inconvenient at first, it actually enhances the experience, allowing members to fully immerse themselves in the moment without distractions. It fosters an environment of privacy and trust, where genuine interactions take precedence over social media posts.

Additionally, Soho House Barcelona maintains a tranquil atmosphere by prohibiting phone calls within the main establishment areas. For those who need to take or make calls, there is a special reserved zone, ensuring that the serene and intimate environment is preserved for all members.

What truly sets Soho House Barcelona apart is the professionalism of the people who work there. The staff are not only highly skilled and efficient but also incredibly warm and attentive. Moreover, Soho House Barcelona is renowned for its special events, exclusively curated for members. From intimate concerts and film screenings to networking events and creative workshops, there is always something exciting happening. These events provide unique opportunities to engage with other members, explore new interests, and be inspired by leading figures in various fields.

I recently became a member of Soho House in New York and during a trip to Barcelona, I was searching for a hotel close to the marina and the Gothic Quarter. To my surprise, I found out that Soho House had a hotel there. I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be one of the most wonderful hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

The location could not have been better—right on the waterfront, with easy access to all the areas I wanted to explore. The facilities were fantastic: the pool area was cozy and relaxing, the gym was on par with Equinox, and the staff was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive.

But the highlight for me was the room itself. I have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world—in Asia, Europe, South America, and the U.S.—and I can confidently say these rooms were among the best equipped. The attention to detail was exceptional. Something as simple as having toothpaste provided in the bathroom made such a difference, especially since I travel often and always seem to run out of the small tubes I carry with me. Even better, I didn’t need to go downstairs to ask for one—it was already there waiting.

Another thoughtful touch was the charging setup. Many times when traveling, people forget their charger or an outlet converter. Here, I found USB cables, multiple adapters, and power chargers right on the nightstand. That level of foresight shows true care for the guest’s comfort.

The coffee area was equally impressive, with both an espresso machine and a kettle. It’s such a small detail, but for frequent travelers like me, it saves the hassle of requesting one. Everything felt designed with the traveler in mind, making me feel not just accommodated, but truly taken care of.

All in all, I was genuinely impressed. The combination of excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and unmatched attention to detail made this stay unforgettable. From now on, every time I travel, the very first thing I’ll do is check if there’s a Soho House Hotel at my destination—because if there is, that’s where...

While the roof is beautiful and (for the most part) the employees are nice, it's good to know before joining that people under 27 y/o are paying 75€ per month with a 300€ "introduction fee". No need to be creative, artist, whatsoever. The economic model of the Barcelona House is to accept anyone. Literally.

For anyone else (above 27), the monthly fee is double (150€) and the "introduction fee" is 525€. So basically the adults are subsidizing the membership of the students (they also have half-off everything on the food/drinks menu on Sundays and Mondays). Lots of perks that other members are paying for.

The gym looks like a frat house, barely anyone in there is above 27, no matter what day/time you go. As for the locker room (for male at least) there are always dirty towels everywhere and water bottles here and there. That's what happens when the strategy of the house is to target very young adults. They're not respectful and think anyone should clean after them. Nothing against young people, but the way they behave at the gym is rather baffling: sitting on machines they're not actually using, scrolling on their phones, leaving their towels everywhere, playing music out lourd on their phone so anyone around can hear rather than using headphones, etc.

Every member can bring up to 3 guests so the roof feels like a university party on the weekends. During the week, forget about getting a sunbed by the pool. They're not having to work so they have plenty of time to get there early, and lay by the pool all day. Soho House allows anyone there to stay for hours, rather than limiting (the already very limited) sunbeds to 2 to 4 hours per person.

Don't expect a creative/social community here like in other cities. This is just an upgraded gym for youngsters.

Also wondering why the majority of reviews are so good? The majority of people there are not members. Who wouldn't enjoy such a place when not having to pay for it? Guests...

I had a wonderful stay at Soho House Barcelona. The house is beautiful, stylish, and full of character, but what really stood out was the incredibly friendly and attentive team. Every member of staff was lovely, but a special mention goes to Donna, who made me feel especially welcome. She was always happy to help and quickly sorted a small issue I had with my room—top-notch service. The Cowshed spa was peaceful and perfect for unwinding, and I loved escaping to the screening room for a couple of hours after a day exploring the city. My room was stunning—comfortable bed, a proper coffee setup with Grind, Cowshed and Soho Skin products in the bathroom, a Marshall speaker, and a balcony with seating. It felt like a true home away from home. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous, though it does get busy—worth the effort, though, as most people were happy to share tables. The gym had everything I needed, and the club had a great vibe, especially on Friday night. Fantastic cocktails and attentive bar staff made it even better. All round, a brilliant experience. Can’t wait to return.
