The highlight of the aquarium is the spectacular 80-meter-long underwater tunnel, where you walk through a transparent tunnel surrounded by sharks, rays, and other fascinating sea creatures. It truly feels like being immersed in the ocean, with marine life swimming all around you. I'm really sad that I have to give negative review, but coming here after having been to Oceanario de Lisboa was a big disappointment. It's only worth visiting if you can't go to Lisboa: Same ticket price, but way smaller aquarium, and then 12 euro surcharge for a "complimentary photo"? Really? If it was 3 euro then maybe. This way most photos get discarded, which isn't very environmentally-friendly!

There was no staff to keep naughty kids silent and away from the glass, so the intended experience of "slow and quiet" was absent. They could have placed the aquariums better with more corridors to block the noise from one another a bit. They could also offer "adult-only" days if kids can't be helped.

The info-screens rotated languages too quickly so we basically spent 5 minutes waiting to just to finish reading the EN info before we could begin looking at the aquarium. My recommendation would be to show EN always, and rotate remaining languages next to it - majority of visitors speak EN anyways. After a few aquariums we went to buy the 3 euro guidebook, but for some reason it had different text, it didn't describe all the fish, and the yellow middle section appeared to be missing - only to find it at the very end when we were past that section... Man, I mean...

The highlight was supposed to be the 360° tunnel through the oceanario, but instead of passing through it goes mostly around the edges, so no fish pass above you. They don't even have the moonfish, just a few sharks, and the whole time you smell the toilets in that section.

The kids part is nice, though, with nice and educational timeline wallpaper. Ironically the food selection at the canteen is mediocre at best - especially...
