Bermudas — Hotel in Benidorm

Stayed here with my partner and 2 children the beginning October for 10 days. We arrived early hours of the morning even though the offices was closed the owner had left the key in the bar across the road so there was no problems there. The first morning we noticed the pool was closed and unclean but from then on everyday someone was out cleaning it and by day 3 it was open again the kids really enjoyed. The owner also let us pay for a late check out as we were leaving late at night and were very nice and friendly. The apartments are mostly made up of Spanish residents but again our neighbour was extremely nice and welcoming and was no bother despite other people's reviews. The room was nice and just what you expect for a cheap apartment everything worked as it should and on day 7 the cleaner came and left clean sheets and towels. I would definitely stay again as it is close to the beach and getting around was no trouble with the array of shops and bars within arm's reach. Comentar que, desde 2017, muchos de los apartamentos de este complejo se están reformando, sobre todo, los que pertenecen a propietarios particulares, los cuales están gestionando los apartamentos, bien directamente o a través de empresas especializadas. La mayoría de estos apartamentos están amueblados y equipados convenientemente; os dejo fotos de algunos de ellos.

A día de hoy, Junio de 2018, el complejo cuenta con una gran piscina, la cual tiene socorrista, los baños exteriores se han reformado, la zona de ocio está plenamente operativa, los ascensores reformados, se ha puesto toda la iluminación exterior LED con detección de movimiento, ya no existe la recepción como tal, las puertas permanecen cerradas para que sólo entren los huéspedes del complejo, la zona de entrada exterior también está renovada: muy actual, con plantas y rampa para minusválidos, hay cámaras de seguridad, se han arreglado los tejados, los bajos del edificio, debajo del transformador, también la piscina, está todo más saneado de pintura, se han puesto telefonillos de calidad, se han eliminado barreras arquitectónicas, se han puesto sombrillas y hamacas, plantas y mucho más. Repito, casi todo se ha hecho desde octubre de 2017 y todavía hay previstas muchas más cosas para que Bermudas vuelva a ser lo que fue: un referente de vacaciones en Benidorm.

La zona sigue siendo la misma, esto, ni se ha podido, ni se ha querido cambiar ;)) Cerca de cafeterías, supermercado típico de barrio y grandes supermercados como Mas y Mas, Burguer King, Mc Donalds, KFC, la mejor pizzería de Benidorm (Duetto), cerca de autobuses, la playa de Levante está a 5 minutos andando, también se puede ir andando a Aqualandia, Mundo Mar, Casino Benidorm, Cable Ski, mercadillo del Rincón de Loix y Benidorm Palace. Creo que es difícil estar mejor ubicado y, encima, es una calle con poco tráfico, sólo el residencial.

El tipo de inquilino ha sido, en gran parte, británico pero la comunidad está orientando el Apartahotel a un público más nacional y familiar. Esto se va consiguiendo poco a poco pero ya es muy notable el cambio. Si queréis aceptar mi consejo, antes de reservar, que os manden fotos del apartamento en concreto que vayáis a alquilar e informaros de quien es el anfitrión o la empresa, ya que, aparte del apartamento, esto hará que vuestras vacaciones pasen de ser buenas a ser excelentes. De hecho, hay apartamentos con puntuaciones excelentes, como este de 9,1.

Saw some reviews before we came out and was a little aprehensive. But all that was un warranted on arrival. Was checked in speedily by the guy people say doesn't speak was ok with us not great English but hey guess what you're on holiday in Spain so why should he speak English. Room is nicely decorated with new fitted kitchen and washing machine ceilings are the only thing that look dated but unless your Lionel Ritchie they ain't gonna matter. One socket in living room is missing but not a problem. You get what you pay for at the end of the day and all the folk who slated this place expecting 5 star service and accommodation at 2-3star prices really need to take a look at yourselves.
