Only a five minute trip north of town. Large spread out hotel. I arrived at 9.30am and was advised check in is from 2pm.(hotel policy) which I totally understand and accept. They looked after my suitcase for me. I ended up checking in at 1pm.||My twin delux room was modern, large with polished flooring (which can be slippery) and polished timber furniture (vanity table, chair, shelving unit, with hangers,table/2 chairs etc). Aircon was fairly quiet and worked well as did the TV and fridge.||The bathroom was tiled floor to ceiling. The shower was a separate enclosed unit. Hot water was good as was the water pressure.. The one thing that surprised me, given the room rates, soap and shampoo sachets were provided but no toothbrush/paste. Something many cheaper hotels/guest houses provide.||The restaurant has a comprehensive menu. The staff attentive and well trained. I tried the spaghetti carbonara which was a big serving but I doubt the chef has ever been shown how to make it. The veggie spring rolls were good, all 8 of them. Even though my Agoda booking did not include breakfast, reception phoned me and offered me complimentary breakfast which I was appreciative. The reception staff were also well trained.||The pool is very large and clean which was great as the beach was far from inviting with trash scattered everywhere. There was even a lifeguard watching over the young ones in the kiddies pool.||I experienced a few power failures but they were usually only for a few seconds. My phone data was occasionally slow.||Overall, this hotel is certainly pricier but you get what you pay for, that is, a clean, comfortable room, everything works well, comfortable facilities and impeccable customer service. If you can afford it, enjoy that...
Read moreWe were given a room with a malfunctioning bathtub: the drain wasn’t working properly, so our entire family (two adults and two children) had to shower while standing in muddy water up to our knees. To make things worse, the shower screen wasn’t fixed in place and kept swinging left and right.
The hairdryer was extremely outdated and barely worked at all. The toilet had a bizarre configuration — it faced the wall with such a small gap that our knees were touching the wall while using it.
In addition, the window above the air conditioner wasn’t properly secured, so the vibration from the unit caused it to rattle loudly, making it impossible to sleep. We had to switch it off during the night.
Nevertheless, our main complaint was the bathtub. We reported the issue immediately after discovering it. Several staff members came to try to fix it, but they were unsuccessful. We were not offered a different room. At the check out the hotel also refused to provide a refund despite the...
Read moreStayed here for one night in August 2025.||Pros:|1) The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and were of adequate size.|2) The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful.|3) The WIFI was free with great speed and connectivity.|4) It is a 20 minute walk to the Burgos cathedral from the hotel.|5) There are a lot of places to eat close to the hotel.|6) The place is quiet at night and the sleep quality was great.|7) The tariff is cheap.|8) The bathroom amenities were modern and in good working condition.||Cons:|1) For the first time in a decade, the hotel did not have our reservation when we showed up. We always book hotels via Agoda and this was the first time we had faced this problem. The hotel had vacancy and offered us at the same price we had booked. I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the hotel and am assuming Agoda is most likely...
