Hotel Golf Beach — Hotel in Calvià

We had a lovely time staying here for a 5 day last min break , arrived early and we could actually go to our room straight away hotel really kept clean and staff really friendly and respectful, we were made up feel so welcome by everyone.

Room very basic no air con or tea coffee making facilities but we knew that from reading up on it , towels changed 3 times per week and bed sheets once per week. Leave beds clear of personal belongings otherwise cleaners won’t make your bed as they don’t want to disturb your personal items which is fair enough .

No beach towels provided but you can purchase in the local shops or bring your own

Supermarket right next door which is so handy opens early till really late

Hair dryer in room but do bring your own as it takes ages to dry your hair if it’s longer ( just a tip )

Pool Is nice and we had plenty of free sunloungers in June only a few umbrellas , pool area a real sun trap very hot so you might need unberella as as no shade

We had some bar snacks and soft drinks and wine very nice and very reasonable

Breakfast is served in hotel but you pay for whatever you want

Location is great , nice road , 5 min walk to the beautiful Santa Ponsa beach and many restaurants and cafes and shops

We thought this hotel was great for the money , the staff were some of the best we have stayed with and we’ll definitely be back

We like the way they run this hotel they are strict they won’t tolerate misbehaving they want there guests to be happy they do ask you to come back quietly and night and be respectful of other guests sleeping .

Please note you have to pay your Goverment tax upon checking in , everyone pays this direct to the hotel there staying in

Thankyou to all the staff. We had an amazing time. We've never seen such a clean hotel. Any requests were met and nothing was a problem. Can't believe this is a 2 star hotel. If anyone is moaning about the price and having to pay for extras, you just need to look at the prices of the other hotels. I've stayed in 4 stars that didn't even come close. Fans, air con & fridge is available for extra. We will definitely come back. We loved that the pool area wasn't crowded. Such a laid back/quiet hotel. The rooms are very well maintained. The beds are comfortable, lovely modern bathroom, balcony big. I think the hotel had a scent being put through the vents or something, my boyfriend was fine and I'm sure 99% of other people would fine with it and welcome the nice scent but I have a nose like a blood hound and seem to be very sensitive to scents, I seem to get sick. I asked about it to the lovely waitress and she must have spoke to someone and the scent was gone no problem 😊 The hotel has it's own bar/restaurant and is very close to the beach and restaurants etc and has a shop right outside. Great if you're not very mobile or just want everything in the one place. The staff are all so happy and take the time to speak to you. Thankyou for the passoa daiquiris, they were amazing!!! Just returned from Hotel Golf Beach. |Location: The location is perfect, close to bust station, shops and restaurants and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel is really clean and the staff are very friendly. |Food: There is a bar and you can get a freshly cooked to order breakfast and they make the best coffee, The chef is the best. |No home comforts: This is a basic 2 star property which suits a no fuss no frills cheap break away. so take your own beach towels, travel kettle if you like a coffee in your room. To hire a fridge is extra around 40 euros a week. there is no air con in the rooms so they get really hot and its difficult to sleep. they provide you with a fan but it just moves the warm around so if going in August hire a portable air conditioner (extra charge). |Pool: pool area looks lovely and is cleaned daily, but we didn't use it as the beach is so nice. |All in all, a really good stay. it's the staff that make this place great, they really are the best. A good choice for a mini break, great location...
