This was meant to be a nice Saturday night couples meal, only to have a nightmare of a night. As soon as we were greeted we were rushed to order, however, we understood that because it was 1/2 hour before kitchen’s closing time. when getting the starters. a member of staff almost dropped my bag on the floor but I just managed to catch it so that was only a small inconvenience and it’s all fine. As we were having our starters, they decided to put a very powerful fan on, which only mean your food would get cold super quick, but again just didn’t say anything, but the last drop of it was a very tired and on-a-rush waitress that was trying to serve several tables at the same time hit my full glass of Prosecco and not only went on me but all over the table . There was broken glass all over the floor which is a HUGE safety hazard. I ended up cleaning the table with the cloth covering my drink and picking up the glass with the lady on the table next to me because it was actually dangerous to people eating next to us. They have changed us tables and then kept changing staff and pretending they didn’t know anything/nothing happened. When bringing the bill to us they sent the waiter that first dropped my bag and answered back badly and pretended nothing happened and after a ‘ heated up exchange of words’ In Spanish I asked for them to take the price of a glass of Prosecco of the bill because they were trying to charge me for, even when they dropped it. After I kept standing up for myself and the situation (something I shouldn’t be doing At all) they got 9 euro off the bill and they apologised on the table and their explanation is that they were busy with other tables, which as a paying customer that’s not exactly what you want to hear. I paid for my bill even thought we couldn’t even eat our mains and just left them ( and also they were nothing special to be honest and a tad overpriced) but I wanted to share my experience, also because it felt of the kind of place that they don’t really care as they just cater for tourists. And just to top a nice Saturday night on a break in Mallorca was totally ruined and left us with a really bad taste. Also I should add that I speak Spanish on a native level so I managed to get my feelings across but don’t know what it’d have been if that...
Read moreThis is quite a difficult review to write for the following reasons. I've only taken 1 star off because of the superb food. Had it not been so good the score would have been substantially reduced. The BAD: I know it's Saturday night and probably the busiest of the week but having to ask the waiter for service isn't on. Don't get me wrong. I realise that you have to look after your regulars and large parties but having your table cleared of your main course and then having to ASK the waiter for a dessert menu 20 minutes later is a bit much. Again, our waiter was very pleasant but he was under a lot of pressure to cover many tables. Bring in extra staff on busy nights? One of the main downsides of this and most Spanish restaurants is the fact that they still allow smoking. There is nothing worse than trying to enjoy a meal when others who couldn't care less about YOUR comfort, take out their cigarettes and light up. Disgusting!! The Spanish government to blame here. A minor concern was that although we were seated outdoors, the heat became oppressive and fans would have been welcome. The GOOD: I cannot fault the food. Everything we had was delicious and the Chianti wine did not disappoint. In conclusion, if you like good food and don't expect waiters to be falling over themselves to get to your table then this place is for you. If service supersedes quality of food for you,...
Nun vielleicht...
