Really enjoyed staying here. We got a 4 person beach view apartment, so had two single beds (side by side but could pull apart) and a double sofa bed. The view was amazing, with two seats and a table on the balcony that was ao relaxing to sit on. We didn't use them, but also had a kettle, toaster and microwave and some plates, cups and bowls so you're provided with quite a lot. Also comes with a hairdryer in the bathroom and an iron can be required from the front desk. Full length mirror in the bedroom and great lighting all around, as most rooms had two sets of lights that were controlled by two different switches. Room did have a few ants that were on the kitchen counters and did get in the bedroom, but they werent that much of an issue. Beds were comfy, think they were memory foam. Hotel pool was really nice, only open 10am till 6pm though. There is a pool bar though just a 30 second walk from the pool which is open for the same times and serves cocktails for €6.95 which is pretty reasonable, would recommend the Strawberry daiquiri and the Sex in a lift. Front desk is open 24/7 and also serve alcohol, hot drinks and soft drinks. Staff are also really friendly and welcoming, if you get a transfer bus to the airport there is a folder on the front desk with your name and when its due to arrive outside. Really couldn't fault anything, wish the pool was open longer but I've stayed in there till about 7pm and no one forced anyone to get out so the 6pm rule is pretty relaxed. Would 100% stay again if i ever came back to the area.

Rooms are lovely and clean, but not well equipped for any proper self catering. The pool is big enough for the number of guests and we never had a problem getting sunbeds somewhere (even though, inevitably, towel reservations were in full force in the perceived prime spots). Pool bar is good value and the staff are lovely, comfy seats too, with plenty of shade. Hotel is in a lively spot with lots of bars in the immediate vicinity but we didn't experience any late night disturbances and rooms seem well soundproofed. Lots of families with smaller kids staying - but mine at 14 and 15 were happy enough. Views from sea view apartment on 5th floor were good, but obviously the higher the better. There are lifts to most floors, or it's lots of steps, which didn't bother us but might not suit everyone. Beach is a very easy 5 minute walk away. There is nothing quiet or tranquil about the resort - in the height of summer season it's a busy place, loads of shops, bars, restaurants (Inc McDonald's and Burger King) but nothing outrageous. Magalluf is close by though so you can warm up in Santa Ponsa before taxiing to the party town, if that's your thing.

The hotel decor was great however the swimming pool area was a bit tired should we say. There were 140 rooms and only 10 sun parasols by the pool which was very inconvenient as I have ginger skin and burn easily so we asked at reception if they had more......the person on reception proceeded to go in a side cupboard and return with a beach brollie which of course was better than searing burning heat on my freckled arms however it was very difficult to stick the end of the brollie into the sun lounger as there wasnt an appropriate hole for it.. ...this ended with a gust of wind that came in from the sea which whipped the brollie up in the air and landed on the roof of the kitchens below....and that was goodbye to that!!!! Other than that problem....the beds were really comfortable and the bedroom dark and cool with air conditioning....if you are situated at the front you will be unindated with lots of noise from the many Irish bars at the front of the hotel....try and get a terrace room on the 7th floor as they looked nice but I must tell you that you will have to travel in 2 sweaty lifts to get there!!!!

Just got back from the Sun Beach! We had a lovely break here. First time visitors to Santa Ponsa, so we chose it for its fantastic central location and sea views. On arrival we were checked in by the grumpy, lacking male receptionist. And dismissed with limited information on how and where to access our room. Lifts do not go to all floors. We were on the 5th floor, so took a lift to level 3, crossed the bridge and had to walk up 2 levels. Complicated it is! Be aware, only level 5 and above have a sea view. Level 5 views can be limited by trees. Reception is just an empty soul less place. It’s clear they want people to linger. Empty spaces which are huge. The rooms are 2/3 star, perfectly equipped for a short stay, and air con is good. We found the beds really quite comfortable. And found extra pillows & thin duvets in a cupboard. Floors are filthy, as was balcony floor. Bathrooms are vile! Cleaning is so lacking. Grout is manky, sealant disgusting, shower screen vile and the stench via the drains had us gagging most days. Anything chrome is rusty, and there is no where to store any toiletries or make up etc. the bedroom is an absolute joke storage wise. Not a drawer or wardrobe! Honestly nothing! A desk that serves no purpose as no mirror above or chair or power points. And 4 15 inch shelves. It must be difficult for families, as there is no where to store clothing or be able to unpack. Balcony was nice enough. You enter into the balcony to get to the front door. It was private & really quite quiet. Pool was too cold to venture in. Nice sunbeds, but the best spots are bagged every day we were there. Can’t comment on the pool bar, as we didn’t use it. There are so many fantastic bars right on your door step here! It’s a busy spot! The lactation is great if you like to be in amongst it. We never had a bad meal in Santa ponsa. Also can’t comment on Sun Burger also owned by the Sun beach. Id definitely go back should they ever update those grim bathrooms and perhaps some comfortable chairs outside would be good too!, aswell possible storage solutions, our bags had to sit on the table unoacked for...

Went hear with wife and kids near end of August. Perfect for us. It wasn't height of the season so not any youngsters partying it up. Apartment was great. Slept 4 of us no issues. Wouldn't exactly call it self catering though. You get a fridge, microwave and 2 hotplates next to sink. You wouldn't be able to cook a full meal with ease. Shower was decent and Aircon worked no probs. Our room looked out over the main strip and a step away from the pool. It was clean and tidy. Pool was good size and had no issues getting a sunbed. Even though it was fully booked there was plenty room at the pool. Only issue is you need to be sunbed savvy. The pool is in between 2 buildings in the 1st floor of the apartment main building. So sun comes and goes either side of the pool and you 3nd up in the shade. There is another sunbed area over a small walkway and no issues there. The pool bar is comfy and serves decent food and good drinks. Santa ponsa itself is great. Thankfully as we hit it end of August it was not party central. Some clubs were closed. Sun beach is located next to the, what I called, the Irish strip. Loads Irish bars. That attracted all the young crowd but as it was not height of season it was no issues. With a few minute walk to the Great beach and plenty of Bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep sun beach is well located. Staff were friendly and always helped us when we had requests. Not sure if they have a restaurant that's open at different times of year as they did have a room that looked like one behind closed doors. Not open at time of year we went. My kids liked it so that's all the approval I need. Would...

Booked here for 5 days with the hubby. We arrived approximately hlf 12ish in the afternoon our room was ready which was great. After unpacking we went straight out to explore where we were and have a littl something to eat. These apartments are situated in the right place can't fault it at all. Near to the pubs and restaurants and the beach. We were in room 501 .. there is only a lift to level 3 so then you have to get out and walk up the next flights of steps to your room.. wasn't a problem for us. After the second day we realised there were quite a lot of ants on our balcony and around the windows and door. So we complained and the maintenance man came and sprayed ant killer all about. Initially it done the job. However when we got up the next morn the Ants were in the apartment and on the cupboards and table and floor and pretty much everywhere. So we went to complain again and we asked to be moved , which we were strait away to level 4. This room was clean and tidy. However the gate was broke and would not close. It banged all night and day when we were in the room which was annoying. Also the cupboard was broke and it would not shut. The pull out bed seemed to be creaking when we sat there so not sure it was broken. Although we didn have to use that as we had rhe bedroom. We did mention all these to reception but no one came to look or anything. Pool area was poor and run down i ould say. Not a very big pool at all and a small area for beds although there was another area nearby the pool with more beds. This is not the place for us and we would not return. I have to say that all the...
