We (family with two kids, 8 and 12) had an overall good time at the Protur Turo Pins Hotel during our first stay there. We were pleasantly surprised by the location, close to the sea, with a nice bay, a diving school, and a restaurant within walking distance. The hotel is situated in a calm area of Cala Ratjada, so there's no need to worry about external noise.

Upon our arrival, we were given a room next to the dining room and terrace, which was understandably noisy and lacked privacy on the balcony. However, we were able to change rooms early the next morning. The new room was clean and met the standards of a 4-star hotel. It consisted of two rooms: a living room with a sofa bed and a bedroom. The bathroom was spacious enough, although after the whole family showered, it quickly turned into a steam bath.

The food was excellent, and the service in the restaurant and at the bar was even better. I have never experienced such a high level of service before, not even in 5-star hotels. Every day, there is a dining theme (Indian, Italian, Mexican, Asian, etc.) that varies weekly. In addition to the themed options, there is also a regular buffet and a live cooking station with fresh fish and meat, ensuring you will enjoy your meals. As for drink prices, they are absolutely fair.

We appreciated the diverse mix of guests, with most European countries represented, creating a pleasant atmosphere (for instance, no need to reserve pool chairs at 6 am 😀). Families with small children were the most common guest type, so it did get loud in the afternoon at the pool once most returned from the beach. For a romantic vacation for couples, I think there are better alternatives.

One thing to note is that you need to pay a deposit for the pool towels, which was a first for us. You also have to pay for the in-room safe. I think it would be better for the hotel to include these kinds of charges/deposits in the room rate upfront, as it may be a bit irritating. Additionally, soft drinks should be included with breakfast—my son asked for sparkling water, and we had to pay extra for it.

Overall a great stay - we...

Our first trip to Mallorca, and this hotel was a wonderful introduction to the island. We hired a car at Palma airport and the drive across the island was just over an hour. We received a lovely welcome, and all staff we interacted with were very helpful and kind, including lending us a beach umbrella from their store. We stayed in a deluxe junior suite, which was absolutely perfect for us (couple with a 4 year old). We had a fridge, microwave and hob, including pots and pans if we'd wanted to do any cooking. Our terrace was a highlight, with a hot tub that my son loved using every evening. There was so much storage, we were able to put the suitcases away and hang up all our clothes. We upgraded to half board on arrival because it was such a bargain (€40 a day for all three of us to have dinner). I was a bit worried it would get boring but the food was amazing and so varied. Mexican night was a highlight. There was always a bit of beige food for fussy eaters, and also plain pasta and a couple of sauces. Breakfast was equally wonderful, and we loved the pancake station. Pool was lovely and warm and there were always plenty of free sunbeds. Kids pool was a bonus, although v chilly. We spent some time in the indoors pool on a rainy afternoon, though the room smelt a bit musty and could do with an upgrade. The village was about 10 mins walk down the road and had some great places for lunch as well as loads of shops. We took a boat trip from the harbour one day. The closest beach is rocky, but Cala Aguilla is about 15-20 mins walk and is a very large sandy beach with lovely blue water. There's also a stunning little beach just around the headland from the port which is walkable from the hotel. A great location to explore the north and east of the island, with so much within a short drive. We'd come back in a heartbeat to this...

"gegensteuern", sanfte Renovierung bzw. regelm. Checks der Zimmer auf Mängel.

Bravo! Bravissimo! Why this hotel have only 4 stars? Usually I am very critical, but this hotel is the best where I've ever been. Staff number 1. Cleaning number 1. The sofa in the room was old but I dont care when the room was big and clean. The bathroom was biggest what we had so far. Every thing works like perfect watches. Staff, cleaning, night program, pool, kids playground, restaurant etc. Food taste very good. Nothing was missing. What I want to highlight is that staff always filled the food, desserts, fruits. Many desserts, fruits, vegetables, breakfast and plenty variety of food what we had so far. Pool and kids pool was relaxed and quiet what I like for relax. Staff were very nice and helpful. What I can just suggest is change the old swing in kids area. Add cold water to the pool. When was theme of the food would be good to sign the name of the country. Such as Italian or Mexiacan. Because we were just guessing :) Also would be good if breakfast and dinner would start and end 30 minutes latter. Because many people are away during the day or with kids and after we had to be little bit hurry. I want highlight that this hotel is family resort with many many kids what we like. Thank you very much. I put 5 stars.
