Hotel was lovely, very clean, staff friendly. We had a room with a view just to the side of the pool. Rooms cleaned daily, tea making facilities in the room with a fridge but this didn't get cold, you could feel the heat pour out of it when you opened the door so we couldn't make use of this and the air conditioning only seemed to work from 11pm onwards each night which was frustrating. Pool was lovely and clean, we were told at check in that you were not able to reserve sunbeds, if you did the life guards would remove your towels which pleased us as nothing worse than trying to get beds when you just want to relax and enjoy the pool, this lasted all of a few days and people selfishly started putting towels down from 7am in the morning even though the pool didn't not open until much later to ensure they got their chosen peg for the day, on a few of the days we noticed that most of the beds on the far side of the pool had towels on them for a good part of the day, people had just not used the beds, some we saw leave the complex others were just not used till the afternoon and there were families with small children wanting to use the pool walking around the pool sides looking for beds to use but nothing was done or said about this, none of the rules written on the welcome info or given to us at check in we're adhered to by the guests or staff which was frustrating.|The food was very samey and not much choice, we were half board and glad to go out for a few nights to eat in the marina. The complex is full of flies, they seem to be everywhere, soon as you sit down to eat at the pool bar they are all over you and the food in the restaurant is covered with them at breakfast and dinner, which I find bizarre that nothing was done by the hotel to try to sort this, no food was covered you had to whack flies off fruit, biscuits, meats, puddings etc. before you selected what you wanted, I've never seen this before in Menorca and we've been going to Cala n Bosch for years but first time at this hotel and unfortunately the last. You fight for tables during busy periods you walk round trying to find somewhere to sit, most of the tables are set for two which I also found bizarre and there are the odd few set for four and then you get the larger tables set for 6 or more which we didn't want to take up as we were just three. There is a lovely seating area outside the restaurant overlooking the pool where you can enjoy breakfast and your evening meal but there are not many tables so if you don't make it down for 7.30pm you will have a queue of people waiting at either side for you to eat up and move on so they can have your table, this was totally uncomfortable for us and a bit of a let down to be honest, it spoilt the experience. Felt like we had to rush our meal as we had a family stood a foot away from our table literally watching us eat waiting for a table, their kids were running round us as they understandably couldn't keep still and were getting bored and we just felt like we're were being watched and our conversation was not private, behind them was a queue of another 3 families just waiting, this needs sorting as it was just ridiculous.|We liked the hotel, on the face of it it looks like a fab place to stay, and we did enjoy our hols but just a few things that let this hotel down unfortunately, if they can be improved on it would be somewhere we would return to but we've been there, done it and won't be...
Read moreCame here for a week at the start of June with my boyfriend. We absolutely loved it! We are a young couple (both 20) and we couldn't fault the hotel or the area.
The three pools were brilliant, they were all very spacious and not too busy. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools, we always had one no matter how busy it was, some people did leave towels around however you will get that everywhere you go. But there was so much space it didn't really matter.
The hotel staff were very friendly, they got to know us as the week went on. There were activities every day such as football, darts, shooting etc which my boyfriend loved because he is very competitive, I just stayed by the pool. The cleaners came in the room every day and did a fantastic job, spotless with fresh towels every time. We rented a safe for 2 euros a day with a 5 euro deposit. There was also free Wi-Fi in the hotel which was fab! however it worked best in reception as the further away you got the less bars it had.
The food was okay, not the best but that might just be us being picky! I don't think their was much choice for children but for adults there was a variety. We ate at burger king a few nights haha!
The entertainment each night was quality, each day there was a notice board telling you what was on, there was a 'mini disco' for the children each night before the main entertainment which was good for the kids. Then the entertainment came on, one night there were parrots doing tricks, the next night were these brilliant singers and the next these amazing African acrobats! The bar drinks were really nice, it was about 5 euros for a cocktail but they were nice every time, we only needed about 2 cocktails each and we were tipsy haha! There was also a snack bar by the pool which sold food and drink.
It was more of a relaxing holiday than a party holiday, so if you're looking for nightclubs there was only one half an hour away. There were a few bars near by though. The hotel was very family orientated and good for couples. Id say if you were coming with friends looking for a Magaluf/party type holiday this is not the place for you! We only went to the beach one time but left because it was too busy. We rented the double bikes out a few times which was very fun! Like a little adventure :) We also went go-karting which was 20 min walk and was very fun.
Overall it was a brilliant first couple holiday and would definitely go again! It ended...
Read moreWe were here at the beginning of May, and presumably a much quieter time of year. Which was great for us as it was relaxing and quiet, as well as easy to get a bed by the pool. The downside of it being quiet was the hotel had nothing going on for entertainment, it wasn't a big issue for me but it will be for others.
The room was nice, it had most of what we needed. It was clean and the shower was decent. The kitchen was small like you'd expect, but capable. The toaster in our room was a bit of a problem, even on the lowest setting it would burn our toast. Also, it had just about the bare minimum cutlery to make things. Like it had a sharp knife, but it was a small cheese cutting one so difficult for cutting veg. Nothing was a massive problem, but it was slight frustrations, 4 stars instead of 5.
Location wise. It had a nice area, near beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars. It was fairly easy to get to by car, with its own parking, as well as easy to travel to other parts of the island. It's a quick drive to Ciutadella. But a fairly long drive to Mao (an hour, it's a small island). We visited some other resorts on the island and there was a much smaller selection of bars and restaurants. Some of the restaurants nearby are the best rated on the island.
Overall, this was one of the better places we've stayed and we seriously are considering coming back again, which is a rarity. I think it is better for kids during the holidays, and it is busier then. We were self catering, so can't give an opinion on the breakfast,...
