Restaurante Neptuno — Restaurant in Ciutadella

Don't quite know which Restaurante Neptuno some other people have been to but cannot fault this place for staff, friendliness and value for money food. Mine host is a larger than life typical Spaniard, in England he would be known as a 'character'. Comes across as a very gruff man but he is genuinely just a good restaurateur who cares about his business and customers !! The lady that looked after us was kind, charming and attentive (but not as attentive as to some male campers from the nearby camp site whom promptly stripped off to use the beach shower...!!) All in all a good place to spend an evening in Son Xoriguer with good company, food and drinks, well worth looking out and finding along the coastal path. Perhaps even get some female campers coming along to use the showering facilities....!! This is my 1st holiday back in Menorca since 2019 ..due to the covid pandemic etc .I have visited Neptuno a few times before in the past & i was looking forward to a return for some Lunch.On this occasion it wasn't any different ,very pleasant staff table service who speak very good English which is always very helpful.The half a litre of sangria jug was full of fruit & very refreshing wile taking in the beach & sea views ..Our food order from the menu was a tropical pizza with a plate of French fries to share which was very nice.The meal was finished off with two white coffees. Food OK, service needs some work. We called into the restaurant by chance as we had been out on a catamaran most of the afternoon and wasn't sure what we wanted to eat. The service seems a little disjointed. Some brings the menus, someone different puts a tablecloth on and takes the order and then someone else brings the meal. No checks the food is OK! Had to ask a passing waiter for extra drinks and dessert menu. The return to take our order was that slow despite being almost empty, we decided not to eat at all.
