Casita Palmera Lanzarote was a fantastic experience for our 8 days in Lanzarote. Marcus was an excellent and responsive host and made us feel very welcome and attended-to. Haría is a beautiful place to stay (the host’s list of good restaurants were very helpful, the Saturday market is lovely, and the Manrique House is amazing) and the villa itself is spacious, comfortable, and accommodated six of us easily across two floors, with free flowing spaces and a lovely terrace to drink coffee and read. The dogs, cats and chickens were very friendly and easy to be near. The eggs from the chickens (thanks Marcus) were delicious. The swimming pool was always warm. The setting is dreamy and the light so sublime that I could not stop photographing everything I looked at. The destinations to Manriques’s amazing Mirador Del Rio and Cactus Garden only 20 minutes. drive. Often when we return from holiday we feel exhausted and ready for another one. This time we felt like we had actually rested and we realised a lot of this had to do with the generous comfort of the Casita as a place to rest, play, eat, sleep and reflect. We’d highly recommend Heidi, Marcus and the Casita and hope to return

We have recently returned from this beautiful place (the Penthouse) and have had such a wonderful stay we just didn't want to leave. If we could have stayed longer we would have. First, location. This is the real Lanzarote, away from major tourist resorts. Peaceful, authentic. Secondly, the accommodation is just lovely. Comfiest bed imaginable, fabulous views, beautiful outside spaces, resident pets who are just adorable, and chickens that supply the most delicious eggs, seemingly on demand! Lastly and by no means least, Marcus and Heidi, the hosts, do the most fantastic job, making you feel totally welcome and at home. They are knowledgeable of the island and best places to eat (we tried several of their recommendations and were not disappointed). Marcus is readily available if there are any queries/requests (WhatsApp if he's not on the premises).... And is more than willing to keep up the supply of fresh eggs and firewood for the log burner, which was wonderful on a couple of the chillier December nights we experienced. All in all, would recommend this place as the perfect base for a thoroughly relaxing, home-from-home holiday. Would definitely go back.

We recently spent a lovely week in Casita Palmera and it certainly surpassed our expectations.A truly lovely house with so many special touches and great art work . The kitchen is brilliantly equipped with absolutely everything you would want and the lounge with its deep comfortable settee and log burner was a great space to relax in the evenings. Marcus is a mine of information, from places to visit, to the best restaurant locally and around the island …..we tried quite a few and weren’t disappointed in any ! Haría is a really delightful village with a great little covered market which was very useful for picking up freshly cooked evening meal or snack for lunch . With artisan market and local pottery it is quite charming . Marcus & Heidi are the best of hosts and as many have previously mentioned fresh eggs are always on tap + enormous amounts of wood for the log burner which kept us nice and toastie in the evenings. Although we were not very lucky with the weather we all had a really great time and very much look forward to a return visit . Thank you Marcus & Heidi for all your kindness.

This is without doubt the best self-catering accomodation we have ever stayed in. It’d be fair to say we are quite fussy about where we stay so when I say that this not only met out expectations but exceeded them you will get the picture.

The location is a lovely peaceful village in the North of Lanzarote, and if you want a chilled, relaxed stay in a charming and tranquil environment then this is perfect. The village is close by and we enjoyed exploring the quieter part of the island having spent time on previous visits on the coast and in the South. Buy with a car it’s still easy to get to anywhere you fancy, best of both worlds really,

The apartment is decorated, equipped and kitted out to a very high standard indeed - yet it is also super- comfortable and welcoming. Best bed I’ve ever slept in I think! I didn’t want to get out of it especially with the lovely views to the garden. Fresh eggs from the resident hens was an unexpected treat.

Everything is super-clean and we were also reassured by the good attention to being COVID-safe in the village restaurants etc as well as everywhere we visited on the island.

Everything we needed was provided and the many thoughtful little touches and luxuries all add to the experience. We were very touched by the gift of a bottle of lovely local wine when Marcus discovered it was my birthday. The welcome pack was also really helpful - especially the cold beer ready when we arrived!

The pool really IS warm enough to swim in even in winter and is a good size for such a property,

If you need some entertainment there’s plenty on offer in the apartment too - books, games, Netflix and more!

Whether relaxing in the sun on the sweet private terrace or down in the garden by the BBQ, or cosied up by the wood burning stove looking out over the palms to the sun setting on the hills, the environment is one that encourages real relaxation.

I have to also say that Marcus & Heidi could not do enough to make sure out stay was top-notch - thanks so much, you are the hosts with the most!

We really didn’t...

Thank you for allowing us to use your lovely villa. If I could leave a 6-star review then I would! Marcus and Heidi were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome but were never intrusive, and went above and beyond when we needed assistance. The villa was spotlessly clean, provided everything that we needed and was the most spacious villa we have stayed in. It really was a home from home. It is furnished to the highest standard by Marcus and Heidi, and we loved the décor. The kitchen has all of the equipment you would need for a holiday and more. The lounge has a great lcd tv with Apple TV (including Netflix) and a speaker system. We loved the pool which was huge but warm and covered which prevented us from getting burnt. Every morning I enjoyed watching the sunrise with a coffee, and in the evening, the sunset with a glass of wine. The location was idyllic and so very different from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. The animals were great company and very friendly but no bother, and we enjoyed getting eggs from the chickens each morning. When we arrived there was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us, which was very welcome after such a long trip. Marcus gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and days out (and when to visit them to avoid the queues). He promised us we wouldn’t be bored, and he was right. When we had a problem (our problem not a problem with the villa!) Marcus went out of his way to help which demonstrated the kind of host he is. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic holiday which was made extra special by our stay at Casita Palmera and our superb hosts. Thank...
