I’m in shock. Evenia Olympic Resort.
This is hands down the best all-inclusive hotel we’ve ever stayed at – and trust me, we’ve tried quite a few (including a place where “all-inclusive” meant toast and quiet despair). If they can keep this level of quality, we’ve found our regular summer destination… or at least until someone invents holidays on Mars. And even then, I’d want to know if they serve Magnum up there.
⸻
Staff:
Smiling, quick and shockingly friendly – even before their morning coffee. They genuinely seem to like people. Like… actual humans. Not just because it’s in the training manual. No passive-aggressive sighs, no “I hate my life” eyes. Just real, warm service. I was almost suspicious. But then I was just impressed.
⸻
Rooms:
Clean, comfy, and not that sterile “Scandinavian minimalism” vibe where you’re afraid to touch anything. The bed? Shockingly great – I’m genuinely considering stealing the mattress next time. They say the room fits four people… maybe, if one of them is a houseplant. Otherwise, three adults and a bit of elbow space is more realistic.
⸻
Facilities:
Massive pool. Pool bar with stools in the water. Jacuzzi built into the pool (alright, calm down). And then another pool, some waterslides, music and entertainment all day. It’s like a DJ and a holiday had a baby – and that baby is fabulous.
⸻
All-Inclusive:
Okay. This is not just all-inclusive. This is deluxe, sparkle, confetti-inclusive: • Ice cream? Not those sad little scoops made of sugar and broken dreams. No – MAGNUM. Like, real ice cream. Included. I got emotional. • And it doesn’t stop there – creamy scoops, fancy options, kid-friendly and adult-indulgent. Basically, something for every inner child and outer diva. • The food? Actually great. Not “meh, it’s free I guess”-buffet. Real food. New dishes every day (I didn’t know that was a thing). I’m talking pulled pork and steak. IN. THE. BUFFET. • Drinks? Real sodas like Pepsi and 7UP – not “Cola Budget Ultra Zero No Fun”. And the alcohol? Not watered down with regret. You get a rum and coke with both in it. Imagine that. • Snack bar? Toasties, omelettes, crisps. Yes. Crisps. Included. I’ve never seen that before, and I’m not okay – in the best way.
⸻
Wi-Fi:
Pretty much trash. But luckily I had mobile data – and honestly, there was enough fun going on to make you forget the internet existed.
The best all-inclusive holiday we’ve ever had. If this hotel were a person, I’d propose. On one knee. With a Magnum instead of a ring. See you next summer. And the...
Read moreFamily of 5, booked through On the Beach.. allocated to ‘Garden’ upon arrival. We stayed last year in ‘Suites’ and both were identical family rooms. Plenty of space for us, a dividing door/curtain should you wish to use this.||I must admit, I really struggle with all the bad reviews in this place. Our children (and us) have had a fabulous holiday yet again.||Food - we have fussy kids and could always find something. Food is mainly fish based so if that’s your thing, great! It’s like any other all inclusive you will have experienced. ||We upgraded to the Gold All inclusive which was great, enjoying the premium brands and cocktails. Much nicer than the pre mixed drinks on silver. You can also use the gym unlimited and the pool at the spa should you wish. ||Sunbeds - plenty of them so do not get up early. If you want to buy inflatables for your little people the supermarket up the road sells them for a fraction of the price compared to the shop attached to the hotel. It’s less than a 5minute walk. ||Entertainment: We really enjoyed the shows put on every night and our kids loved the mini disco. No complaints from us. ||Negatives:|* This hotel has large groups of kids for sporting events stay for a a few nights. They completely take over, very boisterous around other children, will help themselves to any floats/inflatables you might have bought. They will also queue jump on the slides etc. They are did not appear respectful to others which was a great shame. When I say large groups, there are hundreds of them!!|* I personally wouldn’t trust the mini-club without your supervision. Our children wanted to go due to us having 3 days of pure rain but we found that they would be heading back towards us in the seating area before we collected them!! When I challenged this I was told that they wanted to leave !!?!! Very unsafe in my opinion, especially with swimming pools in close proximity. |* Compared to last year - One of the snack bars wasn’t open along with the van that served milkshakes and frozen coffees. Also you can’t get fizzy drinks yourself which is slightly annoying as you have to queue for these and sometimes the queues are long. Last year there were foam parties for the kids on the terrace along with activities in the evening such as bucking bronco and slides. We didn’t see any of that this time, I’m not sure if this is a cut back or whether we are slightly early in the summer season. ||That’s all from us. Absolutely amazing holiday, our kids will always remember the memories...
