Very disappointed with our holiday here sadly. ||Firstly may I say Morro Jable is sensational. The most beautiful place.||Garden & Sea Boutique overall are lovely clean apartments however they mislead you on what view you will get when you book the more expensive apartments closer to the sea. ||After a very difficult start to 2025 (my brother died unexpectedly) we decided, to book a holiday which would also coincide with my Birthday. We chose these apartments due to the "view" in the brochure (see first picture). However when we arrived (Saturday) the first thing we noticed was the view was very noticeably obstructed by a huge Palm Tree that was most definitely not in the pictures of the brochure. (see second picture). ||We went straight back to reception and spoke to a very nice lady, who said that we were not the first to complain about this" and that nothing could be done until Monday, but she did think we could be moved then. We did not unpack on the assumption that we would be moved on the Monday and actually get the view that we have signed up for. Sadly that was not the case. Monday came and we were fobbed off yet again by a different receptionist saying the manager ("Ana") was off today (even though she was also nowhere to be seen over the weekend either") and it would be dealt with tomorrow. On the Tuesday Ana was very unsympathetic to be honest and said that we could be moved to an alternative apartment but they would were not at the front with the view (that we had only come here for) but it was a duplex apartment. The apartment was lovely but it had a view of a road not the sea at all so we declined. Ana then said if we booked directly with them in the future because of the disappointment we could get 50% off a future booking but we would have to stay where we were for this holiday. We reluctantly agreed to this as it was now Tuesday and we had already wasted enough time trying to get moved and the stress it was causing was not helping. ||We didn't even both unpacking to be honest. The holiday was not ruined by any means (Like I said earlier Morro Jable is stunning), but it did leave a bitter taste in my mouth. It was also my Birthday on the Thursday and I wanted to try and enjoy the time we had left. ||We came back to this country and I sent various e mails asking for the 50% to be put in writing so that when I came to book I had proof of what had been said. Surprise surprise no answer whatsoever to any of them. So I whatsapped the reception and eventually got a response......saying that it was 15% that was agreed not 50%. Now I am a lot of things but deaf is not one of them and myself and my husband both heard 50% (which now believe was said just to get us out of reception and out of their hair). I have declined this offer after the amount of toing and froing I have had to do with this hotel in particular I wouldn't want to go back here after the rudeness I have encountered especially since my return to the UK but also I find the offer insulting. They obviously do not care the upset this and they have caused. ||If I hadnt signed up for the spectacular view that was offered in the brochure, I would have no complaints about the apartments, I really wouldnt . It was in a fantastic location and the apartments were immaculately clean, however please be aware that you wont get what you pay for if you choose the sea view apartments, and the staff wont care when...
Read moreWe stayed in May 2022 for 1 week in the Non seafront property (1 row behind seafront). 2 Adults on our first fancy foreign holiday together!
Pros Amazing View (If you get lucky and your balcony and garden are in the right spot a great view of the ocean) Location (very close to ocean, grocery store and town centre with amazing restaurants a short walk away) Spacious (especially when occupied by just 2 people) AC in bedroom (Cannot imagine sleeping without it) Nice Staff (Helpful with confused tourists who didn't read check-in instructions or simple signs) Water proof wrist band keys (along with normal key card to allow you to go swimming without worrying about the keys) Good TV with Amazon Firestick (gives plenty of options for entertainment especially if you have a laptop) JACUZZI! (God damn a private jacuzzi is a real must for a "treat-yo-self" holiday after experiencing this)
Cons Limited wi-fi coverage (virtually non existant in upstairs bedroom) Jacuzzi cleanliness (there were visible lines of grime on the jacuzzi which clearly hadn't had a good clean in a while) No proper oven (The kitchen is ok but the stove top is just that, a stove, no oven below - not optimal for pizza) No AC in living room (If 3 or 4 staying this area is the extra bedroom, could be unbearably hot at times to sleep and uncomfortable in the day) Cleaners turned AC off in bedroom (we left the AC running in bedroom to give us a cool place to, you know.... And it got a bit sweaty when this got turned off when cleaner came in) 2 Single beds instead of proper double/king size (This can lead to interesting positions if one falls down during.....) Minor wear and tear (Such as upstairs toilet door looking a bit shabby and not closing properly)
Overall for the money a great location and made many happy memories. Would recommend a visit especially in the off season where you can get a good price and not being to over crowded...
Read moreLoved the apartment - was front view. Waking upto to the view of the sea everyday was heavenly. The apartment had everything we needed and was spacious enough for the 2 of us. The apartment and complex was spotless always - the cleaners do a fantastic job! The location is perfect - few mins walk to the beach and 10 mins to the old part of town with nice shops and restaurants. Reception has water, wine etc to buy, which was handy and receptionists were helpful. ||Eurospar supermarket less than 10mins walk has everything you need incl freshly cooked food and good bakery. ||Favourite restaurant - El Paladar Gastro Bar - for lunch also liked the beach bar el Rayon. Had good tapas in Bodega de Jandia - best for non vegetarians. ||The beach is gorgeous in Morro Jable but would also really recommend going to Playa Sotavento - was stunning and not busy. ||Would recommend getting a taxi to/from the airport if you do no hire a car - costs about 120 euros - we did this on arrival but when we left booked a shuttle bus. Never again - took 1 hour to get out of Morro Jable it stopped off at so many hotels and took 2 hours total. Next time we would hire a car - agree with others views - looks a very east island to drive on. ||Will be...
