This hotel certainly lives up to the 5 star reviews and there are, a few, reasons, why. Firstly, the staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Louisa, (reception desk) Secondly, the breakfast, is first class, the dining area is lovely, and it has a bohemian cafe vibe. Quality and choices are fabulous. We received a complimentary glass of cava on arrival, our room (302) was spacious and cleaned daily, bed and pillows very comfy. There were around 8 coat hangers, plenty for a short stay. The hotel is, situated just outside the old town, in a very local soanish area with many Spanish locals living close by. There are several little local cafes close by, our favourite was Cafe Monaco, excellent tapas. It is approximately about a seven minute walk to the start of where the old town shopping area starts, and it took us twenty minutes to walk to the cathedral from our hotel. The roof top bar area is small in size and the pool is a plunge pool that is very small, but adequate to dip in and cool off in the very hot weather. One thing to be mindful of, there is no courtesy shower room, our flight wasn't until midnight and although there is a luggage room, there is nowhere to refresh and shower. We were lucky to extend our room at a charge of 10 euro per hour, as only one room available, as the hotel was fully booked. It cost us 50 euros to extend until 6pm. The only alternative was to use the outside shower near the pool , which wasn't suitable. This hotel is a small boutique hotel that at first seems misplaced amongst what appears to be a residental area, but I would much prefer to stay in such a warm and friendly hotel, with the best breakfast I've ever had and with easy walking distance to the characterful old town, than stay in a large hotel near the beach. Thank you to the director, who was amazingly kind sorting out my room extension,...
Read moreWhere do I start... My now-husband and I first stayed at Nou Baleares in February for 4-5 nights while visiting our wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. In fact, Spanish people, in general, are just the nicest! Our room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The entire hotel is thoughtfully built for comfort.
We were so impressed that we decided to book 30 of our friends, including ourselves, into the hotel for our wedding. The communication with Eduardo from marketing was effortless, and he made the entire booking process seamless. Eduardo even helped us organize a dinner with our friends the day before our wedding, handling pre-payment and sharing the menu in advance to make everything easier for everyone.
The dinner was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had, and the reception staff continued to be exceptional, treating us like family. They were incredibly accommodating, not just to us, but to all the guests. One staff member even remembered me from our visit in February.
As for the hotel's facilities, the gym is simple but sufficient. The outside courtyard is charming, perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just relaxing. The rooftop terrace with a pool is amazing, and they provide pool towels too. The hotel restaurant offers a simple weekly menu, and the breakfast is filling. The hotel is conveniently located near the center and has some nice restaurants nearby.
I could go on, but all I know is my husband and I will be back, and I...
Read moreCome, stay, love it. Visiting it the third time in a row we did not get disappointed. You get what you expect. Perfect hotel, nice rooms, clean and stylish, cozy beds, fast room-service, friendly receptionist, nice roof-top and well working Wi-Fi. The only issue we always have is at the breakfast. Since in terms of food waste this concept of a la carte is working, the choice of dishes is really small and also the portions might not make happy everyone (for us it is okay). However, I still believe that offering pro-active another coffee or juice will improve the well-being of you as customer. This does not work for now. You have to ask the waiter for another cup of coffee or juice which makes you feel bad. Also offering only four dishes where three of them are small portions (Croissant or Danish, Small Baguette with ham and cheese or a Muesli) makes you feel uncomfortable. I would change the approach offering Croissants and Bread including Jam and Butter limitless, also honey, Nutella etc. Accompanying it with the other four dishes from the carte would improve the breakfast experience including a hint of limitless coffee and juice. We also are missing other options like milk or a variety of sliced cold meat as an option. What is a plus was the option to have lunch or dinner in a combination of a menu with a perfect price-benefit ratio. In general and personally for us seen, 5 points in TripAdvisor. Breakfast changes would make us more happy of course. We strongly recommend this...
