Came here for a solo birthday brunch and I have to say I was absolutely blown away. From the service to the food to the atmosphere, this place was one of the best cafes I went to during my trip in Palma.
Started off by being shown to a table but when I asked if I could sit by the window they were super chill and accommodating. The staff member Adria, went above and beyond for me while I was there.
I got a extra hot flat white which was perfect and super hot, then asked what they would recommend and Adria suggested the açai bowl as it was such a hot day and I am soo glad I went for it!
It was super fresh, all the flavours worked really well together and was a perfect suggestion.
Not only was the service great and the food super tasty, but after I had finished Adria went and brought me a cookie with a candle in it…honestly, nearly cried. Celebrating your birthday alone can be quite daunting but meeting a stranger who went out of their way just to do something nice for someone else was just next level.

There is a huge rectangular table down the centre for co-working, collaborating or just socialising. Various other tables and sofa seating is also offered. The staff were very welcoming and friendly as was the co owner of the franchise. She explained that Federal is one of half a dozen franchises, the others being successful in Barcelona, Sitges, Girona and other sites on the mainland and just 10 days open here in Mallorca. We had a fresh juice and a very uplifting Vegan Monkey with an espresso shot smoothie. The croissant we had was run of the mill but all was reasonably priced considering the wonderful staff and ambience provided.. Toilets were immaculate and nicely designed. Totally...
Read moreI came to Federal Café in the early evening and ended up staying longer than expected because the whole vibe was just perfect. The place was glowing with that soft golden hour light, 80s music was playing (tastefully, not ironically), and the atmosphere struck that rare balance between lively and laid-back. The staff were warm, quick, and genuinely friendly without ever hovering. It felt like they actually cared, which is rare and always appreciated.
If you’re in Palma and want a spot that’s cool without trying too hard, where the food is great and the music makes you nostalgic in the best way, Federal is it. I’ll...
