I had a really early morning flight so I arrived at the hotel already after 9:30 am. I had informed them beforehand, and was really happy to find that they had my room ready for me this early in the morning. Thank you! Check-in was quick and friendly and all receptionists spoke English well.||||I had booked a superior room. My corner room was furnished in a peculiar way, with the bed in the middle of the room, making it feel a bit cramped as there was little room for anything else with this layout. Converting old buildings into hotels can be tricky sometimes, I guess. But the room did have a small table with two chairs, a closet, a safe and a fridge. The A/C was efficient and wifi worked well. The bed was comfortable. Due to the layout of the room, outlets had been placed on the floor, and charging your devices by the bed was possible. There was no water bottle in the room.||||While the room could have been bigger, especially as it was labelled superior, the bathroom was large and came with a deep bathtub that I very much enjoyed. Amenities consisted of wall-mounted containers of hand soap, a combined shampoo & shower gel as well as conditioner.||||Brekafast was served on the 1st floor from 7 to 11 each day at a price of 14 euros. I did not try it this time.||||The hotel is located opposite Plaça d'Espanya. The location is excellent in many respects; the airport bus stops right outside (bus A1, every 12 minutes, ticket 5 €, pay the driver in cash), a 2 min walk from the hotel entrance. The vintage train to Sóller is a 5 min walk away and the old town starts right at your doorstep. There is a large Mercadona supermarket on the top floor of Mercat de l’Olivar, a 5 min walk away. The seaside and cathedral are a bit further away.||||This is a city hotel, so there is no swimming pool, but it is a perfect base for exlopring Palma. The only letdown was the price, which in high season was a whopping 188 EUR/night without breakfast. While the room did not feel worth it, the hotel was almost fully booked so I guess the price was sort of...

Read moreThis hotel was really excellent from various points of view. The room we had was large, as was the bathroom - probably a result of the hotel being converted from a cinema. The breakfasts were excellent with an amazing choice of hot and cold food and as for location, it could not be better. A 20 minute, 5 euro trip from the airport by bus, took us to within a one minute walk from the hotel. Also within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel was the Intermodal Station - bus, train and metro - and if you fancy a trip on the Ferrocarril de Soller (a historic electric train which takes a 20 mile route north from Palma across the plains, winding through mountains and 13 tunnels of the Serra de Tramuntana, finally ending in the large railway station in the northern town of Sóller), the station for this is right next to the Intermodal Station too.|Around the hotel there is a varied multiude of eating and drinking places and it is an easy 15 minute walk into the historic centre of Palma. The reception staff were also very helpful. One highlight within 5 minutes of the hotel is the Mercat D'Olivar (a traditional market with the best fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, seafood, cheese, cold meats, together with an opportunity to eat tapas and drink wine. If I was to look for any negatives, for a 4 star hotel, I was surprised that no evening meals were served and there was no bar, but as was mentioned earlier, this was never a problem with the variety of places close...
