We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel - we had a double room with a small balcony- the rooms are small as previously reported but they are spotless, the cleaning team are amazing! has fantastic storage, comfy bed and good shower- what more can you ask for ?||Breakfast was really nice - my husband said it was his favourite meal of the day- lovely buffet small changes every day - continuously topped throughout service - really good, and the fact you could take it out to the front restaurant over looking the seafront was brilliant. ||The reception team are lovely, always said hello and were very helpful - sadly we did have one issue when checking out which is why I only give this a 4 star. We weren’t being picked up until the evening so two days before I asked if there was an area we could change before we left ( as we would have checked out) - we were told if there was availability we could have a curtesy room to change - fantastic - we did not expect this - so morning of checkout we asked and the lady on reception wrote it down- great. When we came to the evening we asked the gentleman on reception about this- he said he knew nothing and then said the lady had written the wrong date down - I asked if this was was possible then- he said what now and laughed, I found his attitude very poor actually- at this point I said no worries we’ll just use the toilets- it wasn’t the fact we didn’t have a room, I was fine with this and knew this was only if they had one- but his attitude and how he shrugged his shoulders at me sorry this is not ok! |Having worked in hospitality there is a way of responding to situations and this is not it- we had a water pressure issue whilst at the hotel- I don’t remember this when I think of my holiday as it was dealt with really well- but I will remember the man shrugging his shoulders at me...
Read moreSecond visit to the hotel, I will be honest and say there were some areas that wasn’t as great however many positives.||We returned for ten nights after a shorter trip in 2024 and it was nice to see some updates have been completed over the last 12 months. Rooms are clean and have been updated with new seating if you have a sea view balcony. Bar area has new lights & chairs and new entrance giving it a modern yet cosy and inviting feel.||Food was good. We stayed with both breakfast and dinner and I can say they were both good. I would suggest going early while food or hot and fresh, however the service was slower. The restaurant at the front of the hotel gets busy and I feel the hotel unfortunately concentrates on paying guests rather than those half board. 5 colleagues in the front and only 1 poor lad in a busy half board area. ||Few small observations, cloths rail in the wardrobe is incredibly high. If you are less than 5.5 you will struggle! After dinner, if you have a sweet tooth for dessert then unfortunately you may be disappointed. Lack of verity, only fruit, ice cream and a strange custard covered in a biscuit were available. Both could be improved on. Finally the room doors slam so loud they wake you in the early hours! They are astonishingly loud!||Overall nice hotel less than 20 mins walk from the centre of town. Always beds available at the pool (hobby club) and lovely colleagues. If you book a sea view you won’t be disappointed!...
Read moreThe staff are brilliant, the food is excellent, the rooms are adequate, however the first world problems with the hotel are lack of sockets in the room. The showers are small and slippy, we put old tee shirt on the shower tray, the shower taps stick out, and you catch your body on them unless you are stick thin in build. The only sea view you will get is from the front nine rooms. All other rooms have brick wall views, and to view partial sea, you need to lean over the balcony. The balcony it's self is about 3 feet wide, 1 mtr. We are here at the time of writing. 26th June to the 3rd July 2023. It's very hot, 32 Celsius, and the air conditioning works brilliantly. The beds are very comfortable. The safe boxes are very small and expensive. 27 Euroes with a 3 Euroes deposit. The hotel lift is the smallest I have ever been in. It's about four or 5 feet wide and 2 feet deep, we are average build and just about sqeezed in with 2 suitcases. The staff encourage people to use stairs if possible. Would I come here again, probably not , but this is because we can't use the balcony it's terrible. we can't relax looking at a brick wall on a narrow landing. Also, just a reminder that there is no swimming pool, although Jet2 shows a totally different hotel on its site. The one shown is the...
