Tamarells — Restaurant in Pollença

Rush, lack of attention, truly an awful food and extremely rude waitresses. They have unique location directly on the beach so believe that they must not bother about anything else: food, service, waiting time, mistakes on your plate and extra charges - all is simply very bad.

Long waiting time to place an order, to get your food, to exchange food (yes, they don’t listen what you order so expect your plate to go back and forth between your table and the kitchen..., don’t dare to have any adjustments to standard orders, like e.g. rice instead of fries, as you will meet the angry glance of a weitere). In spite of bad first experience I went there second time just for a coffee and croissant. Was not allowed to pay directly at the bar and must have waited more than 10 minutes at a table. The coffee was with milk while I’ve ordered simple espresso. Waited another long minutes for the right one. Another 10 minutes for a bill. Was charged for the more expensive milk-coffee, even though have not drunk it. Wanted to pay by card so the waiter looked angry at me for the fact that he had to go get the terminal. Consequently he called me an idiot to his fellow-worker (didn’t I want to make it simple at the begging by paying at the bar?!)

We came to the restaurant for lunch. Sat down at a table. No body said hello or welcome or let you know that you have been seen. We waited 10 minutes without getting a menu. Asked for a menu by the waiter. But just got a look and he went and folded up a sun umbrella instead. When the rest of the company came and sat down we still had not gotten a menu. Asked for it a second time and received no reply. However, another waiter picked up a menu. We looked into it. Closed the menu and waited another 10 minutes. No one came and asked if we wanted to order. No question if we wanted something to drink. Instead the waiters was argueing with each other and it was a really bad mood among the waiters. This was the most unprofessional service I ever had at a restaurant. Finally without getting any service or opportunity to order. We got up and went to the restaurant across the street. There we received a very nice greeting and service. Our visit was Friday 9...

It’s absolutely not worth the money!! They get one star for the view and the Pimientos de Padrón but I don’t see any reason to give any more: patatas bravas with an undefined sauce (definitely not spicy and I guess it is the sauce they use for the spaghetti napolitana as well), tuna salad with a lot of salad leaves, 2 cherry tomatoes, onions and canned tuna (and two pieces of jelly-like asparagus). The burger is made out of a tasteless patty (but burnt to give it at least one flavor) with one slice of tomato, some onions and a cheese-like sliced indefinable mass. The house wine is not worth to remember but helps to swallow the food. 4 wine, two burger, two Pepsi (!) and the tapas described above makes it 70 Euros. Let’s not forget the inattentive Service who don’t waste a smile. I don’t get why they have a 4 star rating on average! Life is too short to eat...
