The owner of the restaurant does not have his business in order. We had to wait 30 to 45 minutes until we could order our dishes. This was because only the owner could take in food orders and the friendly ladies were only allowed to take the drink and serve the food + drink. We ordered four dishes and assumed tapas size, since it is indicated both on the menu and in the restaurant itself. The first dish that came was the fried chicken taco. The chicken was cold and topped with a lot of sauce. After this, the hamburger followed, which would be a normal portion at a regular restaurant instead of smaller hamburgers. The third dish was the ‘day special’; bbq pork ribs. The price was 21.50 euro and expected a little more than three rib bones en two pieces of meat in total. The fourth and last dish was the bao bun. A slice of apple and a very small piece of meat with, again, a lot of sauce and therefore we only tasted the sauce. Compared to other, way better, restaurants, the price was the comparabel and therefore would not recommend to have dinner at this restaurant. In addition, the owner of the restaurant embarrassed his waitresses in front of his guests by speaking English when, in his opinion, the waitresses were not performing according to what he expected. If you like seafood then look no further. The seabass ceviche was outrageously good. A huge portion in mildly spicy cocunt milk like liquid. Like all of the seafood dishes it was incredibly fresh but still packed a heavy flavour punch.
Tuna titaki and the prawn tacos were a definite must too. Lovely to see a healthy amount of condiments on the potatas bravas too, not just a dollop.
The bao was delightful and like no other bao I've had before as it came with panchetta. It was fluffy with a siracha mayo and also some small sharp pickles. It was harmonious.
Lovely beer on tap and wine. As you can see from the photos in a stunning setting. Found this to be the case with pretty much everywhere on the island in that the service was super friendly and helpful.
Its a...
Read moreJust got back home from just over 2 weeks stay in the port. This restaurant became a new favourite after trying for the first time, we booked 3 separate things during our stay. This tastefully designed restaurant is in a prime location facing the ocean/beach. We found all of the staff very welcoming and friendly, they were even delighted to see us returning. I have to give 5 stars all round, the guys was exquisite, the staff professional and attentive and the atmosphere was really good. The food was always presented beautifully and made with quality fresh produce, the Salmon Wellington was delicious, but that was just one of the dishes we tried, this restaurant is an absolute MUST TRY, we arrive back in 8 weeks time, and simply cannot wait to return there for now delicious...
