This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is a 15 min walk into town, along the main shopping street, much of which is pedestrianised. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, as is the area. Rooms are all away from the street, and are modest in size. Breakfast is an extra €6 and is exceptional value, although the breakfast room itself has only artificial light.|There is street parking nearby, although space is not easy to find. I didn't dare risk my rented car in the underground garage, for which you have to pay.|Improvements? The hotel could usefully put felt pad on the legs of the stools and chairs in the room, as the movement of these echoed. Many doors were difficult to open/close, which meant many were slammed......this shouldn't be difficult to fix.|This is a hotel which does a huge amount to help travellers. The photos that accompany the profile of this hotel give a way better impression than actual reality. Hotel Room--couldn't they have thought of a more creative name?--is a very mediocre, somewhat depressing, place to stay in Pontevedra. My wife and I stayed here two nights. The room is sterile. We were promised a outdoor space connected to our room. That promise was fulfilled but our room had the only private outdoor space without a table and chairs. The staff are friendly, at least. We stayed in the Hotel Room Pontevedra for nights. This is a budget hotel and is very adequate for most people. There is no restaurant within the hotel but there is a breakfast room with a buffet that is available for guests. We found the breakfast more than adequate. The room has a very good coffee machine. Breakfast is the same every morning which was fine with us. The room is nothing special but it does have a/c which was badly needed during our stay since each day was over 30C.
