Pizzería Carlos Pontevedra — Restaurant in Pontevedra

Another place on the Camino route I would strongly advise against visiting . We walked 10 hours in lashing rain today - the most awful day yet : all our clothes were soaked so we left them into the local laundrette for wash and dry and then set off for something to eat as we hadn’t stopped all day as too wet. We were wearing the last dry clothes we had. We went into Pizzeria Carlos for a pizza - the restaurant was empty and the girl at counter asked if we had reservation and we said no. She said sorry no tables left. The waiter then said we have one free here to which she scrunched her face up and shook her head to say no don’t give them a table but thought we hadn’t seen her . I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. The owner of this place should be ashamed of its staff . What has the world come to. As an Irish citizen I will never ever treat someone like this .

Following the reply i received I went to the trouble of emailing the details and got no reply. I think that shows they believe it’s okay to disrespect people the way they did....

The waiter was inattentive and asked us to wait standing even if there were plenty of tables available. Same happened to other custumers. I felt that this was very close to a power game, therefore an unpleasant situation. Pleae note that this is a place attended by Pilgrims on their way to Santiago and you should know how to take care of them as standing still with no reason might be very painful after a long day walking. He forgot to bring a plate we ordered and didn't explain that the beer is served only in "small" or "half a liter" portions. So he decided a small beer was ok...

Llegamos al local y había fuera 3 personas esperando. Entramos y nos dijeron que ellos ya iban a entrar y que los siguientes seríamos nosotros. Al cabo de 10 minutos llegó otra familia (3 personas) que también solicitaron mesa. Cuando se liberó una mesa de 4, pasaron a estas 3 personas antes que a nosotros (éramos 2), que llevábamos esperando más tiempo. Me parece normal que intenten ocupar las mesas con mayor cantidad de gente , ya que como es lógico se van a gastar más dinero e imagino que será lo que les importa. Aún así lo lógico es que cuando pedimos mesa nos hubieran dicho que esto podía ocurrir y quedaría en mi mano si seguir esperando o irme. Por otro lado, cuando nos sentaron pedimos dos pizzas una de ellas hecha ya y otra con los ingredientes que quisimos. Cuando nos trajeron la pizza, le faltaban ingredientes. Además y por si no fuera poco, cuando nos sirvieron las bebidas (un agua y una coca cola), esta última la trajeron a la mesa ya abierta, cuando es evidente que se tiene que abrir delante del cliente. Lógicamente, la coca cola no tenía gas, por lo que pedimos que nos trajeran otra. De nuevo otra vez abierta y sin gas. Por lo que, a pesar de que la pizza estaba buena, aun así sin mas, como en cualquier otra pizzería. Le pongo una estrella por el trato recibido y por la dejadez. Me parece impresionante sobre todo lo de las bebidas, y una auténtica falta de higiene. ¿Quién me asegura que ese refresco no está rellenado, al...
