My partner and I stayed in Fahana for 5 nights during the Summer Pride. This stunning gay men-only resort has just emerged on the gay map of Maspalomas and deserves a lot of recognition. Here are ten reasons why to choose Fahana over any other place in this gay paradise. Location. Fahana is located in Maspalomas just 5 min walk from Yumbo Centre the main gay scene of Gran Canaria. The hotel is situated far enough from the main busy road giving some peace and quiet from local traffic. Design. As an interior designer, I am very fussy when it comes to the design. But this small boutique hotel has such an exquisite taste, very minimalistic and modern with lots of influences derived from local architecture. Every single element in the entire property is well thought out and balanced and nurtured my aesthetics. I literally didn't want to leave the place at all during my stay. Customer service. The customer service provided by the entire Fahana team was at the highest level, starting from the booking process. I've been in contact with them prior to our stay and they assisted me with every single query and resolved any issues regarding my booking promptly. Hospitality. Our host Miguel was super friendly and very thoughtful. He is a genuinely nice person with a can attitude, always happy to help. They are always available to you 24/7 dealing with most urgent matters even though it may seem that no one is there. They are very discreet and approach each guest individually and privately. Housekeeping. The room was kept spotless every single day thanks to the amazing Mari. The room was tidied to the highest standard and the towels changed. Still water and a selection of hot drinks were provided in the minibar area concealed in the wardrobe. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board and if you forget your toothbrush, comb or cosmetics, they've got you covered. Price. Although the Fahana is not the cheapest option, this experience is worth every single penny. The quality of service provided is exceptional and unbeatable value for the money. I wouldn't change that for any other place. Breakfast. On our arrival, they switched from ordering breakfast through the tablet to the open buffet breakfast with a big selection of continental food, fresh bakery and hot meals. And if you fancy some bubbles instead of coffee, you can enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne. Privacy. The entire property offers you complete privacy. These 8 luxurious bungalows in the terraced house have a capacity of 16 people in total thus you can feel there like in your own home with your own pool and private terrace. Private terrace. Every single room has its own private terrace on the roof with a Balinese bed and shower where you can relax after a long day on the beach or simply hide from the scorching sun, admiring a breathtaking panorama over the roofs of Maspalomas and the dramatic skyline of the mountains to the north. Private pool. All rooms are facing the south pool area with endless sunlight during the entire day. The pool itself is a piece of art with glazed walls and an infinity edge. It was our second journey to Maspalomas and I hope it wasn't the last one. I would love to come back there in a couple of years to see how the place changed or actually, I hope it won't cause this small gay resort is...

If you are looking for an elegant, stylish, quiet, sexy, discreet, clothing-optional small gay hotel equipped with all comforts, then THIS is the place for you, no need to look any further: you couldn't find better! The place has only 8 rooms (booking well in advance is recommended), inclusive of a bathroom with a double shower, a sitting corner, a private outdoor veranda in front of the pool area with hanging sofas and a private sunbathing terrace above each room (with curtains, a large sunbed and a shower), all well equipped, sleek new and perfectly cleaned and maintained daily. The pool is also gorgeous and very sexy (in fact it is a large basin in glass rising a few steps above the ground level), and you can sunbathe naked or not, according to one's tastes and in total freedom. The hotel is very quiet, discreet and allows both privacy and contacts between guests, if desired, and is perfused with masculine intimacy though being far from cheap and explicitly sex-oriented gay only resorts. This remains an elegant, somewhat exclusive - which doesn't mean snobbish or pretentious - gay resort and whatever may happen there will happen in an elegant, respectful, discreet way, and only if you wish. A full breakfast is included in teh fare and served in a quiet outdoor veranda. Fahana is only a few minutes' walk from Yumbo Center and a pleasurable 15-minute walk (or less) from the Mirador over the dunes and the path to the beach through the impressive natural sand dune park; it is also very close to two bus stops with direct connection to the airport and to all areas in Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. Last but not least, given the level of facilities and service, I found the ratio quality/price more than adeqaute and very good fares can be found in some seasons thanks to promotions. My most heartfelt congratulations go to MIguel, who manages the facility very professionally and will do all he can to satisfy your request, as well as to Lorena and Tino, in charge of room service and maintenance, carried out very meticulously and discreetly. I really hope to be able to enjoy another wonderfully relaxing stay at Fahana soon! Muchas gracias y...
Read moreThe location is ideal - very close to the Yumbo and the restaurants along the Avenida de Tirajana, but not so close that any noise from those areas would bother you. It is worth noting that due to the size and small number of guests, the poolside environment is very chilled and tranquil. If they could engineer a little bit of background music I think that would make a positive difference even if just during the hours the reception/breakfast area is open (until 4pm).
Thanks again to the team for their warm welcome! We would absolutely stay again on a...
