OLTRE Cucina Mediterranea — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Visited here twice whilst on holiday to Gran Canaria and wished we found it sooner as it is fantastic. The first visit we tried the two different Supplì‘s which were both super tasty. We then had the pasta special and a pizza, again both amazing and full of flavour. We finished this off with a Tiramisu and a Red Berry Tiramisu which were lovely. All of this food was amazing and we were made to feel very welcome. We returned 2 nights later and reordered the Supplì‘s along with a fried pizza which was very light and surprising. We then tried the two ravioli dishes and when we explained we were going to share, we were told one was stronger than the other so to try that second. We were then only delivered the lighter one to share first along with some smaller plates to allow us to share properly and then our 2nd ravioli again with fresh plates to allow us to share. Both pastas were lovely and clearly made with fresh pasta. For dessert we had a Cointreau Tiramisu and a Torta Di Ricotta e Père and both were gorgeous. Both the gentleman which own the restaurant are lovely, they are very welcoming and don’t rush you… we even got a recommendation for where to eat when we visit Rome. A charming Italian restaurant with friendly and helpful staff serving up delicious food and building up a cheerful rapport with the other customers. The food we ordered was excellent. We had one of the special pizzas each and they were very generous (I'd recommend either having a light lunch or skipping it entirely if you're going to have your evening meal here!). My partner has been raving about the ham with pistachios and the pistachio pesto on his pizza for days! I was also really happy that the restaurant didn't mind that I didn't want ham on my pizza so that it was then vegetarian. They offer a couple of variations of tiramisu as well, which was novel.
