Alright, not gonna lie, at first I was a bit reluctant to eat a burger during my week on gran canaria. I usually try to stick as much as I can to small local restaurants that are away from the touristy places. But it was the 1st of January and very little was open.
And boy am I glad I had that burger. I had the Viva la Vida with the Parmesan fries as a side. The food was served 20mins after we placed the order and I was not disappointed! Is it the best burger you'll ever have? Not likely, but it is definitely a top contender. Partly because of the quality/price rapport. I mean 8.5€ for that burger? That's half the price of what it would be in Sweden. And the looks! That burger had crispy fresh lettuce and tomatoes. It was well stacked and full of delicious ingredients and sauce (but without being towering or overwhelmingly big). And each bite was just a pleasure. The fried were nice and fried to a T and adequately salted.
I was famished before my meal and couldn't quite finish all my fries so it was a generous portion (both the burger and fries).
I did not expect this and was therefore positively surprised. If you do decide that you one day do want a burger on Gran Canaria, there may be many places to chose from but you won't go wrong at this place. Simple, affordable and...
Read moreWe visited here twice during our week stay in Gran Canaria and we agree that Aloha do what are probably the best burgers in the world!! It's fantastic here, the staff are brilliant but what stands out and the variety of burgers and the combinations on each one and the best thing is if you are vegetarian like my girlfriend you can still choose any burger but they substitute the meat patty for a Linda McCartney burger hence you're not just stuck having the ONLY vegetarian burger option, if only all restaurants were that forward thinking. So we'll done Aloha for thinking outside of the box :) The prices are also very good, most burgers were around only €8, so that was dam good value for money. The fries as well are made fresh daiky in their kitchen so you're not given any pre-frozen chips they are actually made fresh and the taste shows that. Also each night we were given free shots that were homemade, one was a passion fruit shot and the second was some kind of lemon shot and both were very tasty. We both know where we will eat the first night of our next stay in Gran Canaria and...

Local 0...
