This is an incredibly basic way to stay in the amazing city of San Sebastian. We arrived and were eventually greeted - though that's me being picky - and shown to our room. You only get a bedroom and you share the bathroom, there isn't any type of lounge or anywhere to sit apart from your room which I found a little disappointing, but the place was spotlessly clean and tidied every day. We stayed from 5th to 8th August 2016 and I would go back, it's in an amazing, interesting pedestrian area of the old town, it's full of tapas bars and locals, a true Spanish experience! Read moreRacist and unfriendly lady, barged into my room, checked through my belongings when I would leave and at checkout would not allow me to wait for a cab inside the building, she literally pushed me outside of the place. She also kept making distasteful comments about my appearance and skin color. Never ever before did I feel like storming out of a hotel or hostel for that matter. Read moreThe Pension San Telmo is in a good location in the middle of old town San Sebastián with all the great Pintxos bars. The price point is good but only if you’re staying a few nights. The walls are thin and there is an open space underneath the room door so you can hear everything. People are loud and come in late after drinking or make a lot of noise early in the morning.
