Casa Solance — Hotel in Sarria

We stayed here for two nights on our 42 day Camino trail trip.|There were very few places that I have raved about, and this is one of them.|Ricardo and Jorge are the sweetest hosts, and make you feel so welcome.|The minute you walk into the gates, you feel a sigh of relief, like you are home. It’s a little oasis of bliss.|It’s quiet, calm, beautiful serene and you notice all the attention to details they have put into this place with love. You can feel it.|Our room, 6, was at the back of the property, we looked out in a grassy area, with chairs, where the garden had grape vines, artichokes, blueberries and roses.‘birds were the only noise, and the trees rustling, and the church bell, unobrustively.|Our room was so beautiful, tastefully done, with the best bed on the Camino trail. There was lovely bedding and a great shower and toiletries. |The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and again, can not say how nice it felt to be welcomed by the loveliest hosts. Something that seemed to be overlooked at so mma y places we stayed.|Casa Solance is a rest. A travel company chose this location for me as a starting point for my Camino journey. I arrived early after a long trip from Arizona and they let me check in early whereupon I promptly tucked in for a 6 hour nap. I purposely booked 2 nights so I wasn't exhausted for my start and had the opportunity to wander around Sarria, try their food and generally be impressed and relaxed. The room and grounds were beautiful and comfortable. Jorge was helpful and polite. The morning I left for my journey, I was concerned about getting caught in thunder storms so I got up early and, regrettably, missed breakfast but Jorge was also up early and offered me to at least have coffee. I wish I could have stayed longer just for the peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Casa Solance to any of my friends who also want to hike the Camino. Thank you for the wonderful,...
