Casa Manuel in Sarria is a hidden gem that offers a heartwarming and delightful dining experience. Run by a warm and welcoming family from Venezuela, this cozy establishment stands out with its genuine hospitality and delicious, low-key cuisine.
After a particularly disappointing dinner up the street, discovering Casa Manuel felt like a true culinary rescue. The atmosphere is inviting, and the family's passion for their heritage and food shines through in every dish. The menu, though simple, is packed with flavors that reflect the rich culinary traditions of Venezuela.
The highlights of our meal included their arepas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with a variety of delicious ingredients. The empanadas were another standout, each bite bursting with savory goodness. The fresh and vibrant salads, coupled with hearty mains, made for a satisfying and memorable meal.
In addition to the wonderful food, the friendly and attentive service made us feel right at home. The family took the time to ensure we were comfortable and enjoyed our dining experience, adding a personal touch that is often missing in larger, more commercial establishments.
If you find yourself in Sarria and are looking for a place that offers both comfort and delectable food, Casa Manuel is an excellent choice. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a hearty meal, and experience the warmth of Venezuelan...
Read moreI can not speak enough good about this place. Today is June 15, 2019. I do not know the waiters name, but he deserves this 5 star review, along with the amazing food! We are taking a rest day in Sarria, so last night we ate here as well. Both tonight, and last night, he was such a delight. He was nice, funny, very helpful, and the food was definitely something to come back for, as we did! Including the vegan options, which have been hard to come by on our Camino! About an hour after we left the restaraunt he showed up to our albergue to let me know I had left my 350$ retainer in a napkin on the table.... he had no idea what my name was, or where I was staying. He walked from albergue to albergue to find me.... I am so grateful, and I cant thank this man enough. This place, will forever be on my list of recommendations. THANK YOU! Thank you for everything.

If you are town, this is definitely the place to come for...
