After walking from Triacastela and just wanted a salad and a beer. I looked at the reviews then decided on Matias Locanda Italiana and how I made the right choice. I came to this venue as a Camino Francés pilgrim. In comparison to other albergues, the hosts showed us the venue before suggesting payment, gave us great help in sorting out laundry and were kind, generous hosts. We dined here and had a wonderful caprese salad and two good, well-topped pizzas. All of the staff were a credit to the team! I would highly recommend this restaurant and albergue; I can't comment on the private rooms as I didn't see them. Would return...

Our host suggested this place and it was a great recommendation. The food was amazing, we ordered 3 large pizzas (4 quesos, italiana and carbonara), and they were all a big success for our group of 5 and would have been more than enough for a 6th person. The owner was very friendly and told us about the homemade pizza dough and recommended desserts which were also delicious. He also offered shots when we paid the bill.
