Nice upscale hotel that offers very comfortable living at really affordable rates. Location is a minimum of 20 minute walk/tram to the old town. Staff is good, rooms are spacious and comfortable. You get great value for money. Detailed review:
LOCATION: The hotel is located at a 40 minutes (& 7 stops) bus ride from Seville airport that costs €4/person. The hotel is a further 5 min walk from the bus stop. Closest attraction to the hotel is Plaza Espania which is a 15 min walk. There is a MAS grocery store exact opposite to the hotel, while a phone shop (sim cards, repairs, & accesories), & a cafe is located at a 5 min walk from the hotel. However, walk to the old town is wonderful and you never really feel the distance. We walked to and from the old town with ease. You can also take the tram to the old city from the stop where the airport bus drops you, the ride is €.82/person and cuts the journey time to 10 minutes. This hotel is good to have a comfortable and relaxing night's sleep. 4 Stars for the Location.
ROOMS: we had a standard room on the 4th floor, and it was pretty decent. The room had two closets with hanging space & shelves on the left, while the bathroom is on the right. There is a sliding door that seperates the bathroom/closets space from the room. The bedroom had two single beds joint together (its a Spain thing). The bed was firm (slightly hard to be precise) while the pillows were nice. The room has central aircon with controls. There are charging stations and light controls on both sides of the bed which makes it super comfy. The room has a desk and chair to work, as well as a small easy chair to relax on. The TV was really good as it was huge maybe 70", pretty big for the rooms size. Lighting in the room was also perfect and can be controlled as per need. 5 Stars for the Room Comfort.
BATHROOM: The bathroom is pretty good in size. The WC & Bidet are on the left side, while shower and bathtub are on the right. The wash basin has a big area to store your own toiliteries while there is good water pressure and temperature. Shower pressure however has to be the best thing this hotel has to offer. The maximum water pressure might just feel that its directly falling on you from the 14th floor, lets put it as the continuous use may feel like a water cannon. However, on the flip side, there is a half sliding door at the bath tub which can not control the water from spreading out in to the bathroom floor. Hence once you complete a shower, the bathroom is flooded. For this sole reason I would give 3 Stars to the bathroom with amazing shower.
STAFF & COMMOM AREAS: The staff is really nice and accomodating. They are professionally trained and ensure that guests are facilitated promptly, within minimim time, and all this with a smile on their face. The common areas were spacious and clean. The lobby has enough seating space, while the cafe has both indoor and semi outdoor (facing street) seating. There is a pool on the 3rd floor which you can access with your room key, however, to go to the 13 floor rooftop terrace restaurant you need to have a reservation that means No Free views of the city.
Would recommend staying here as it would cut your cost of accomodation that can be added to some local ceramic shopping...
Read moreThe Hotel has a grand feel to it. From the get go, the environment is clean as you walk into the revolving entrance. The foyer is welcoming and spacious. You are surrounded by a marble finish, giving a posh look and feel. The service at the front desk is kind, personalised and professional.
Once you are in your room, there is a posh feel continuation. Luxury? Kind of? It is upper class. The bathroom is probably the highlight, stone finish all round and a very high pressured shower. Very clean. The room service is on the ball and maintains a high standard of hygiene. Beds are a little hard? Obviously that's subjective. Our view was overlooking the park. Very beautiful, the sunsets especially fantastic. Good Aircon! Genuinely a very nice, comfortable room.
We only ever had breakfast but, the food was good. A generic but vast array of food from, fruit to sausage, bacon, egg, cheese, pancakes, cake, bread, coffee, juice. After two weeks it got repetitive but, filled us up for a good start.
Plenty of things to do within the hotel, pool, spa, gym, coffee bar, restaurant (upper floor), hydro pool.
Hotel is located absolutely spot on. Many restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance (read my other reviews, to see which bar, restaurant ect are the best).
The old town of Seville 10 - 15 mins away. There is a scooter 🛴 stop across the road from the hotel. If you are brave enough to battle with the saville traffic on a scooter, download the voi app and get yourself a cheap electric scooter ride into town.
Overall! Very enjoyable stay. Staff are great, hotel tick all the boxes. One last thing... Why not 5 stars?
Parking! Why oh why hotel saville center!?
The parking terms are truly a confusing mess. It's even difficult to explain. In a normal scenario, you park your car and pay for the time you spent there right? Wrong! Not here. The nonsensical parking parameters are set to a specified time, NOT period 😂. If you just so happen to be there at a specific time, you get charged the whole day! As in 24hrs! They bat you off and say "oh we won't charge you the amount the general public pay, you get a discount from €25 to €18". WHY ARE WE EVEN PAYING? It's odd. To expensive! Just let me pay for my time?
It's a strange kaffale no one wants on holiday. Would love to drop 5 stars but that's a cheeky money maker! Noughty!
On a quick note: if your like us, we want to travel everywhere. If you have a car, saville is a great middle ground to put you in range of so many amazing places.
Great stay...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. We arrived on Valentine's day and also celebrated our anniversary during the trip. The rooms are a bit dated, I didn't expect flower petals and champagne but even for a water on arrival in the fridge you need to pay! Wow the room was set up for one person. We had to ask for extra towel, then noticed there is zero coffee so had to ask for that, they said they will send it to the room, they didn't, so we requested again. They also don't give you spoons.4star hotel??? Once again we had to ask, we received wooden stirrers. Read the small print! the swimming pool is closed i think until april. When I asked during the check-in if it is just that day or always the woman didn't even know. The pool looks beautiful from the window, it has seating around it but you are not allowed to go and sit there either. So you need to walk to town to other hotels with rooftop bars and pools if you want a drink with a view and relax under an umbrella when it is 21°C and sunny outside. The next day the other receptionist coldly said , yupp, it is closed. No further explanation or discussion. after I finished charging my phone and pulled out the cable the whole plug fell out. We reported it as it had uncovered wires. They said they will fix it. They did so just the following day, and only pushed it back in, not repaired it. So next guests will have the same issue we were on the 8th floor, they have some issues with the pipes in the bathroom. There were awful, loud, scary noises coming out in the middle of the night. It felt endless but was like 10 minutes. Proper freaky. Then the next night the whole room smelt of sewage. As the room was high you hear the wind so if you are a light sleeper, stay lower floors. the bed was a great size but very hard mattress. I couldn't sleep most of the nights what made me the most angry was that I put up a sign for cleaners not to come and clean as I tidied the room each morning and it is a complete waste of water and energy to change all towels and I hate when people come to my room and touch my things and yet the day before we were leaving they still came in and cleaned. Zero sustainability. the phone in the elevator was hanging off during one morning so we...
