My wife and I have traveled across Europe this summer, from Italy to Spain. We have stayed in a lot of hotels. This is the first one that neither one of us can really find any fault with.|Our honest review.|Cons:-|There is a tiny amount of black material in one small corner of the shower.|Yup that’s it.|Positives:-|We arrived late in the day, 9:45pm and were greeted by Jose Angel (I’m sorry if I have your name wrong) in a large spacious comfortable looking lobby with attached bar and lounge. This young man was friendly, courteous and very helpful. He asked about our trip and and suggested some sights we might wish to take in during our stay, we thanked him and I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday the next day and we were looking forward to celebrating in Seville.|We got to our room to find the mini fridge was cold, the AC was terrific, a huge TV on the wall and a lovely comfortable bed with great pillows. The bathroom is larger and has a good shower. The view from the large window that could be opened on either side was of the city, but we are surrounded by city, so it would be the same from any room.|The room was quiet and dark at night and we both slept very well.|We took the included breakfast at the hotel, and while it hasn’t been the biggest buffet or the most varied buffet, it was very good. They offered everything required for a really good breakfast, breads and pastries, cheeses and meats, fruits and juices, eggs, sausages, bacon and mixed vegetables. Like every other hotel, coffee was from a machine, it was ok.|We were within walking distance of a great many sights to be enjoyed so we spent the day enjoying them. On our return, the room was cleaned and there was a small birthday gift left for my wife on the writing table. A truly delightful touch that really meant a lot to us, being away from our family and children during my wife’s birthday. Above and beyond.|Thank you to Jose and all of the staff at Hesperia Hotel. We will remember this visit as one of our best...

Check in: Long wait for guests in front of us and for us also, with painfully slow and inefficient check-in process.||Room: We booked a superior room, which was nice and spacious. No view to speak of at this hotel. Room was poorly maintaned. First, the safe deposit box was locked, so I had to call engineering to open it for us. Despite double occupancy, there were only 1 bathrobe and 1 pair of slippers, and so I had to call again to request a second set. Standard daily bathroom amenities set-up included only 1 dental kit, even for double occupancy.||In-room mini bar: A few drinks (2 waters, 2 Coca Cola and 2 beers) are included and replenished daily (not sure if this applies to all rooms or only superior rooms and above). I informed front desk that we don’t drink sodas and beer and would like extra water instead but received pushback and negative attitude by the unhelpful guy at the front desk. He finally and begrudgingly asked for my room number to relay to housekeeping to leave extra water on the next day - and only on that one day during our 3-night stay. He told me "it is what it is". This guy has no clue about hospitality and customer service and personalization according to customer's needs and desires - in this case, something as little as replacing other drinks with water.||Shower stall: Water leaked after each shower onto the bathroom floor. I put down the bath towel to soak up the water, thinking housekeeping would notice and notify engineering to fix the leak. No such luck; nothing was done during our stay.||This was my first experience with a Hesperia-brand hotel, and I was hoping for local charm and hospitality, but alas, this hotel disappointed in many respects. ||Luckily, this hotel may be an outlyer. We moved on from Sevilla to Cordoba and stayed at the Hesperia Cordoba, where everything is perfect: helpful, friendly, and caring staff, early check-in proactively granted, nice room with no leaks and no broken safe deposit box, etc. I was...

We spent 4 nights in this lovely, probably newly refurbished hotel (since the receptionist didn’t know the WiFi password is not needed, but the emails) and were really pleasantly surprised with the room, the facilities (Chromecast on the room TV works great, as well as the WiFi) and especially- the amazing breakfast! Everything you could expect in the 4-star hotel, plus more. The fruits were amazing, as well as the orange juice (we were in Sevilla after all). Pastry with many variations and creams, a variety of breads, but we couldn’t find the sunny side up eggs, just scrambled eggs (which were good, btw). Some 20% of the breakfast changes every day, so you won’t be disappointed. Lousy parts? You can easily hear what your neighbours are watching on their TV or how they are showering or arguing. There was no heating in the room (it was rainy and windy when we were there and that probably happenes once a year) although there is a room climate control, so it was a bit cold but not under the heavy blankets :) The hotel is placed perfectly, because it is not in the city centre (the price) and you don’t need the public transport to the city centre, which is some 20 minutes walk away. We didn’t have the car (we arrived by plane and the cheap airport bus stop is 3 minutes from the hotel) but the hotel has the garage and is probably also convenient, because it is located near the main road that goes outside the city. Hesperia is a great place to choose for our next stay in Sevilla as well. I choose it mostly because when I was a kid we lived in a villa called “Esperia”, so the choice was more emotional but definitely a good one.

Comfort Double Room booked via Booking.com, € 397 for 3 nights. The review would be originally 4 stars, but I dropped for 2 stars because, for the first time in my life, cleaning service simply threw out my skin care products, which were expensive and bought in Tokyo! They were full, and I was in disbelief when I came back to the room. Pros: - good location if you don't mind walking to the city center - breakfast is excellent - the shower is great, excellent water pressure - the bed was comfortable and room size was good, great to have wardrobe and frigobar Cons: - we could hear everything from our bedroom, neighbours and hall's noises. Our first night was terrible, we had a bad neighbour who was talking loudly on the phone at 3:30 and we could not sleep that night at all, we only napped. He was also talking to his wife and they, later, made sounds I won't detail here as 🔞. We. Could. Hear. everything. - it was honestly unacceptable that the hotel threw my personal toiletries, an expensive Asian brand that I can not buy in Europe, away with full bottles. I got really upset, and I need them as I sometimes have problems with my skin and allergies, not able to use the usual pharmacy products. I called reception but it was too late and nothing they could do. A lot of money wasted for me.
