Ayer nos reunimos un grupo (12 personas) de compañeros de facultad, de dónde salimos, por cierto, hace más de cuarenta años, pero en fin..., sigue siendo el grupo de la facultad, qué caramba! El sitio lo escogió uno de nosotros), y ACERTAMOS!!! (bueno, acertó Ginés, 😉 con la propuesta) Además de pasar un magnífico rato entre buenos amigos, el sitio y la comida, sin duda, contribuyeron. Compartimos coquinas, croquetas de carabinero, crepinetas de salmón, y morcilla de arroz. Todo estaba excelente, y lo que no es poco importante, en las proporciones adecuadas: hubo para todos, no sobró nada, y no tuvimos que hacer divisiones ridículas de una pieza para que todos pudiéramos probar todo (prueba de lo que digo es que por más prisa que me di en hacer fotos, sólo pude registrar las cáscaras de las coquinas, y una sola de las rodajas de morcilla) Para el plato principal,la mayoría optamos por el plato del día (potaje de garbanzos), y mientras que otros escogieron otras cosas de la carta (chuletas de cordero, arroz, bacalao, o atún). Yo puedo dar fe del potaje: muy, muy bueno. (Por como quedaron los otros platos al final de la comida, deduzco que probablemente todos disfrutaron con lo suyo) El postre: café y pastelitos (por cierto, los pasteles, así como el chupito final -para quien lo quiso- por cuenta de la casa) El servicio: muy profesional. Sin agobiar, siempre estaban cerca y rápidos en atender y servir con amabilidad. Nos quedamos los últimos del comedor, y en ningún momento hicieron el menor gesto de desagrado, prisas, etc. (todo lo contrario) QUIERO DECIR ESTO EXPRESAMENTE después de haber leído alguna crítica muy desfavorable en este sentido. Obviamente no estuve los días en los que las valoraciones fueron malas y no sé exactamente qué pasó, pero ayer sólo cabe felicitarlos y agradecerles el buen rato que nos hicieron pasar Y por último, pero no menos relevante, el precio, más que adecuado a lo que tomamos: unos 35 € por cabeza P.D. Para que la valoración no resulte excesivamente benevolente, una pequeñísima objeción: una de las veces, al reponer los vinos nos sirvieron otro diferente intentando hacernos creer que era el mismo de la vez anterior, cuando no era así (y en el ticket se comprueba). Dicho esto, los dos vinos estaban muy buenos y no tiene la mayor repercusión en el éxito...

On a first night in Seville we decides on tapas and thoroughly enjoyed Puerta Caleta. Our experience was outstanding because of the exceptional hospitality and service of Ros. He translated the entire wide selection of the tapas menu. We shared about six different selections among the four of us and found it enough. Each item was delicious. The surprise of the beets with olive oil complementary as an appetizer when we sat down. We asked for and promptly received salt and pepper as we American’s prefer and made several items all the better.
