We booked this hotel because of its rooftop swimming pool, because it was very hot, 28 degrees celcius during the weekend we were in Spain. We canceled our other hotel, decided to shorten our trip in the Bardenas to spend the afternoon chilling at the pool. On arrival we were told that the pool was closed, that it opens only from June. Very disappointed, we ask if it was possible to get a compensation. The staff told us he would ask his manager. A few hours later we came back at the reception and ask to speak to the manager, I don’t know if the guy was the manager but he acted like he was. He was immediately rude to us, while we were being very calm. We simply told them that they should mention on their website that their pool was closed. He answered that it was not possible to open it in April as it is too cold. We didn’t ask them why it was closed, we just told them they should mention it on their website. And considering it’s was 28 degrees celcius it wasn’t that dumb of us to think it would be open. Then, he told us he can immediately refund us and we could go to another hotel (like “get out of here” kind of tone). He told that if it wasn’t mentioned it was open it means that it is closed …. Well they didn’t mention the gym and bar was open, but it was opened. Very dumb argument again. Unlike what he said, every other hotels with pools in the city mention on their website “seasonal closing” or something like that. So we were frustrated all of our afternoon, having shorten our trip in the Bardenas for that. Even without any compensation, a “ok I’m sorry, I’ll bring this up to our staff so we can mention this on the website” kind of answer would have been ok for us. So a terrible experience, clearly not a four stars hotel. Otherwise, hotel itself has been recently renovated. The room itself is very nice. But the soundproofing with the corridor is terrible (I thought the door was opened when I heard people talking in the corridor). Gym was ok but the ceiling was too low...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Innside by Meliá in Zaragoza and was impressed by several aspects of the hotel. The rooms are very nice, spacious, and beautifully designed, providing a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the city.
The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional, thanks in large part to the fantastic housekeeping staff, who ensured the rooms were spotless every day. Their friendly and diligent service was a highlight of my stay.
However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. The service did not meet the standards I expected from Meliá Hotels. The staff appeared unfriendly and struggled with organization. At times, there were too many staff members with not enough clients, leading to them standing around without attending to guests properly. Conversely, during busier periods, there weren't enough staff members, resulting in delays and neglect of clients. For instance, my orders were occasionally not delivered, and the service was sometimes slow. A notable incident was being informed that I could sit at the bar for 30 minutes, only to be asked to leave after just 15 minutes, which was uncomfortable.
Additionally, the room design, while beautiful, had some practical issues. The shower doors did not seal properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor. I had to use multiple towels to manage the water. The gap between the room door and the frame also allowed significant noise from the hallway to enter, which was particularly disturbing at night.
Despite these challenges, my overall experience at Innside by Meliá was positive. The hotel's excellent location, beautiful design, and outstanding cleanliness made my stay enjoyable. With improvements in service and room details, Innside by Meliá has the potential to offer an even better...
Read moreI had a terrible experience, an experience I have never had in a hotel. Let me tell what happened: My fiancé and I were going to Zaragoza for a wedding. I arrived at the hotel tired from the trip and they asked me for the reservation, I showed them the reservation and they asked me if I had confirmed it and that it was in the email with the reservation and all the paperwork to book, they didn't care and didn't answer me anything, so I called my fiancé and he talked to the receptionist. The other employee asked me for a credit card (even though we had already paid for the reservation and all the fees when we made the reservation). I wrote the credit card number on the document and signed it. The receptionist turned to me angrily and told me that my fiancé would have to go to the front desk to confirm the information I had given her. The look on her face, the lack of cordiality and respect made me feel very bad, with the feeling that I was being treated badly because I am a foreigner, or that I was lying even though I had all the data in the system and on my cell phone, I felt disrespected by the customer service. The same border did not make a point of giving me any information about the hotel, very poor treatment. I hope this review will help you, if you would like to stay with a businessman, company employee or even a family member, to choose another option so that you don't have to go through the embarrassing situation I went through. I believe that what everyone expects when they arrive at a hotel is to be well looked after, with kindness and smiles and not rude, xenophobic staff. We are in doubt as to whether to stay here or at the Palafox and we will certainly stay at the Palafox hotel on...
