As a bar and restaurant, this place delivers quality drinks + food with the added bonus of panoramic views of beautiful Stockholm city.

Come on a clear day around sunset for the best experience and fantastic views!

The restaurant has surprised me with their very fresh and well-prepared fish dishes. Plus points that if possible, they are willing to adjust some ingredients for dairy-free requests.

🔸️ Charcoal grilled char ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enough for a light dinner. This dish consists of two slices of excellently grilled boneless char with grilled vegetables, smoked tomato, parmesan cream, tomato salad with chimichurri & french fries.

🔸️ Grilled Whole Sea bream ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive dish and such freshness. The medium sized fish is soft and sweet on its own. The coating of salsa verde adds a smokey richness and a squeeze of roasted lemon juice further lifts the dish.

The dip of caper / dijon mustard & cornichons accompanies well as a palate cleanser.

Filling dish. Reletively easy to manage the bones but more enjoyable if you already like whole fish dishes.

🔸️ Frech Fries ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Golden brown shoestring fries. Medium salted. Freshly cooked. Hot and crunchy on arrival. Enjoyable and stays crunchy after it cools.

🔸️ Drinks ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Large bar area with alfresco seating. Hard liquor, cocktails, wines and tap / bottled beers.

🔸️ Ambience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High energy, club-styled, popular place that gets crowded. There are lots of seats and it doesn't feel too packed. Reservations recommended for the restaurant.

🔸️ Service ⭐⭐⭐ Seating is fast with a booking. Main dishes can have a wait of at least 20 minutes at peak hours but sides like fries arrive pretty fast.

Good service but can be hard to get the attention of the waiters during busy periods.

Ill start by saying that the location is good (roof top) and the design is nice and contemporary. Service was absolutely fantastic.

Now for the food. For starters I had the ceviche, for main the brisket. The ceviche served here is a broken down to the ingredients one and not served in the traditional way. The plate was pretty and you could see all the ingredients clearly. The dish was a good starter yet I was missing some green (only two spicy pepper slices) can be a bit less careful (see photo of the ceviche)

The brisket - the brisket was recommended to me by the staff. It was absolutely the worst brisket I've had I a long while. It had too much of a plastic like smokey taste, it was hard and not tender as it should, hard to swallow and chew, exactly the opposite of what it should be, it came laying I a pool of some sort of barbecue sauce that was too sower for me and under it was a bunch of oily cooked corn pieces and green beans (felt very not fresh).

The watermelon salad that came on the side, was a good idea that got a bit lost when using a watermelon that felt like was not cut on the spot (was already a bit soggy) but overall the watermelon was definitely the best part of the dish.

Stockholm, a city of stunning beauty, deserves a culinary scene to match. And with views like those from Sjöstaden Skybar, you'd think they'd have a culinary masterpiece on their hands. But alas, this place is a missed opportunity of epic proportions.

Let's start with the view, shall we? It's undeniably breathtaking. Perched high above the city, you feel like you can touch the sky. But a view doesn't make a restaurant, does it? It's the food that matters, and here, Sjöstaden Skybar falls flat on its face. The portions are laughably small, like they're mocking you. And the taste? Bland, uninspired, as if the chef forgot to season the food. It's culinary mediocrity at its finest. But the real kicker? The prices. They charge you an arm and a leg for this subpar food, as if they're trying to compensate for their culinary shortcomings with exorbitant fees. It's highway robbery, plain and simple.

And don't even get me started on the service. Hectic, unfriendly, like they're doing you a favor by taking your order. It's a far cry from the warm hospitality you expect in a city like Stockholm.
