Accommodation type: Privilege Suite (Suite # 205)||Date: 16 October 2021 – 17 October 2021||Number of Nights: 1 night||Number of Guests: 2 Adults||||==============||Overall impression: 10/10||This is my second time in Champéry and first time in the amazing Hotel National Resort & Spa . The hotel is renovated with a contemporary Alpine style. It takes around 2 hours of a great drive from Geneva airport to the hotel. The Hotel has around 16 accommodations and an outside swimming pool. Staffs are very supportive. I was surprised when I found an elevator in the hotel. The hotel provides free parking (down the road) and an outstanding service quality. Because we are Muslims, they bought special halal meat for us. Especial thanks to Laetitia who contributed to our 100% satisfaction and made us feeling we were in the heaven. Many thanks to François who supported us and provided a great service. This is the place where you will definably not regret to stay at. Shops are around the hotel and the mountain view is astonishing and breath taking. We were offered free tickets for the cable car.||||==============||Here is my detailed review:||• Hotel location: 10/10 ||The Mountain view is astonishing. We requested iron and iron board which arrived immediately. Many thanks to François||||==============||• Room Size, Condition, and Amenities: 10/10||The Privilege Suite is 44m2 in size. It was in the second floor. It has three balconies, out of which two are facing the mountain and you can enjoy the view from your own bed. There are two TV’s, one in the main bedroom and the second one is in the living room. There is fridge, free water, and sofa for 4 people.||==============||||• Bath: 9/10||Main bathroom is separated from the toilet and it has a bathtub as well as shower area. There is no water shut off unfortunately, like most of the hotels in Europe.||==============||||• Quietness: 9/10||The privilege Suite is located in the second floor. Sometime you would hear some sound from the swimming pool and the bells from the church. However, the place is extremely quite after 6pm. If you are a light sleeper, you will never have any issue and will have a deep sleep.||||==============||• Bed Convenience: 9/10||==============||||• Internet: cannot rate it as I have not used it||==============||• Food and restaurant: 8/10||We tried the buffet breakfast which was simple and a dinner. We cannot thank them enough for bringing special halal meat for us (many thanks to Laetitia). Cheese plate is great. We also tried the pasta with tomato sauce. You must try the Scramble egg is great. Read moreThis hotel was recommended to us, and we certainly were not disappointed. Whilst the hotel is top notch and feels very special, it also has a really lovely 'homely' feel to it, partly due to the fact it is small enough for the staff to get to know all the guests, and partly because the staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. Centrally located in the very picturesque town of Champery, which has 'chocolate box' chalets and is surrounded by snow capped mountains, the hotel has a lovely bar and breakfast area with panoramic views of the mountains. Our room had a double aspect with two lots of French doors and balconies where we could sit and admire the view. The en-suite shower room was huge and impeccably clean with modern sanitary ware. The sound proofing of the rooms was amazingly good and the electric shutters, combined with quality curtains, meant it was dark whatever time the sun came up! Breakfast was buffet style with a fabulous choice of hot and cold items and 'proper' coffee and tea served by the staff. A big feature is the swimming pool which is heated but outdoors and surrounded by the mountains - a fabulous place to relax. There is also a huge jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms, plus the option of booking spa treatments. I can recommend the massage! Whilst the hotel does not serve meals, it does have a 'snack' menu including lasagne, pizza, etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who were happy to advise on walks and activities. Whilst all the staff we encountered were fabulous, we were particularly impressed with Andres who went above and beyond to provide a top notch service. There is a choice of restaurants in Champery, some fabulous walks going from the centre and also many stunning places to visit locally. I can imagine it is a great ski resort, but when we were there in summer there was still plenty to see and do including mountain biking. I don't think anyone could be disappointed by a visit...
Read moreWhere to start! 10 out of 10. We had an amazing stay and experience here, being treated like royalty the moment we walked in. We had our luggages taken care off and taken to our room, whilst we were served complimentary welcome Prosecco. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was incredibly spacious, high class and luxurious. The spa on the bottom floor is big with just about everything you expect from a spa; pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, massage area etc. You can even use the phone to ring the bar for a few cocktails. The pool really does look out to the amazing mountains, and the view is uninterrupted! The breakfast was very tasty with a great variety of choice. There is something for everyone, even a self-service of freshly squeezed Orange juice. They also have a smoking/cigar whiskey room, which looks like something straight out of a movie. The staff were more than helpful, more than friendly and always smiling. Very professional but also amicable. Fully recommend and I can’t wait to visit again! See my videos and pictures...
