Waiting at the airport is always such a bore, so, as I had a lot of time on my hands due to a delayed arrival, I decided to pop into the Montreux Jazz for a bite to eat and something to drink. I have been there before so I knew I was not going to be disappointed. This is a lovely place to have a break. The food is good. They serve a la carte and also have suggestions of the day. And, the food is good!! The staff are friendly, obliging and attentive. The kitchen is in full view of the restaurant which is reassuring. The restaurant itself is split into two areas. One is for quick eats and the other has tablecloths and is more formal. Even though this restaurant is in the arrivals hall Terminal 1 it is surprisingly quiet as far as airport noise is concerned. Being a Montreux Jazz establishment, the walls are lined with photos from previous Jazz festival entertainers and the music is jazz-based. Not too loud just the right volume! Also, I find it is no mote expensive than any of the other eateries in the airport. A great place to relax...

They told us if we only order appetizers we can only sit for 1 hour because we arent ordering something “big”, for the context there were a lot of empty tables ( most of them) and it wasnt like we were occupying another potential customers table. After an hour we wanted the bills ( I always tip as long as I do get a good service, however kicking someone out when they just sit is not a good service for me), I was talking to my friend how to pay and they were listening to us i guess and they didnt like that we werent going to pay tip and a waiter commented : thank you so much for the tip ( with shaming tone). After that I left some of the coins in my purse as I was leaving the country anyway but that was one of the worst experience I had. I don’t recommend going unless you want to shamed for not...

It didn't appear on the menu, so I waited in my seat. When he didn't give me, I said, "Can you give me the food menu, please". But I was shocked by the answer I got. he said no to me and left..then he came back and said "I won't give you a menu, you came and you're talking on the phone, you didn't even say hello how are you. since when we sit and ask the waiter how are you at the place we order? is it the culture of that city I don't know? and that's why he doesn't serve me It was very interesting to me. I am a customer, he should have said welcome to me, what would you buy?can I help you?…but he said he wouldn't serve me because I didn't say so and he fired me from there! because the only reason i didn't...
