Three nights in total, second time visiting. Everything is new, the paintings and decorations are great. It's not far from a bus stop and Volg.
Room 403: very spacious, clean, warm, nice. Room 310: smaller than 403, spacious enough, clean, too warm (apparently, older people find it comfortable). The mattress is unusual, the pillows terrible. We used the spa. The lights in the sauna, the selection of teas and the kettle were all great. The steam room too. We liked that they provide us with towels (for each room). We were the only ones there (Sunday 7pm, 1-2 October), it was quiet and relaxing. Room 101: the temperature is much better, the soap smells very good, there is everything you need in the room (even the possibility to leave your smelly walking shoes on the outside windowsill). They don't rush you to be out of the room at 10 am. You can hear the kitchen in the evening and in the morning. It's noisier than in the other rooms. There is a nice rooftop terrace and a lounge.
The staff could be warmer: don't look away when you welcome someone stay in the present moment (you seem more interested to serve the next guest who just arrived, than to finish serving us). It's nice for you to have the room ready for breakfast when it's the evening and vice versa... but it's a bit noisy and stressful to see the table next to us being set for the next mealtime. why does the person at the reception cross the restaurant 6 to 7 times in the evening? Being the boss or knowing someone in the restaurant isn't an excuse. It's just weird. the person at the reception should relax a bit: he called rudely from his desk "where are you going Madaaaame". Am I really going to answer this loud call? What does he think I am going to do in the hotel while my husband is checking in? Yes, I know the place, I just spent the last night at your place. I am just going upstairs (I am a free adult, using a place accessible to all customers) and wait for him on a nice sofa with a nice view. I don't have any of our bags, the keys or anything with me! I am just exhausted from the long day! Don't worry! Also, you can run after me if there is anything wrong and talk to me normally...
Read moreA note to the hotel, we had to walk up and down the Cumunevels 5 before finding the place! This is after getting of at Sils. Maria Seglias stop and walking over from the inside. The google maps location is possibly incorrect :) I want to thank Hotel Cervo Sils for our wonderful stay of 3 days. The hotel has a warm and cozy feel to it which is only about 20 odd minutes from St. Moritz bahnhof by direct bus (no. 4). We were greeted by a friendly manager as soon as we entered who already knew about our arrival and room details! She asked us how our trip was and gave us a quick set of details about the hotel! The hotel has a restaurant just adjacent to the reception, a spa/sauna a level below the reception and a viewing deck lounge at the top floor. The spa/sauna service is free for guests. It is lovely to just sit and relax there after a long day of snow activities - and only a couple of minutes from your hotel room! The viewing deck is lovely and has a 360 view of the surroundings. It was mostly empty while we went, the balcony doors also couldn't open due to being snowed in. The restaurant is great although I feel they could use with a few more options here and there! The room is very cozy, clean, very comfortable and we had a balcony as well. The bathroom isn't huge but it is clean and has all the necessary amenities. Check-in was hassle-free, the staff is great (although we had one experience at the restaurant where the lady attending to us didn't speak English). We had a late train on the day of departure and asked the manager at the reception if we could have a late check out (only an hour later) and they didn't hesitate to agree!
A lovely, comfortable...
Read moreMy husband and I had an exceptional 4 night stay at Hotel Cervo in August. It was the beginning of our month long holiday, and it couldn't have gotten off to a better start!
Firstly, the hotel itself is super cute and incredibly clean, in a great location with beautiful views. The rooms are spotless and spacious, with a modern bathroom and a very much appreciated balcony where we could enjoy our morning coffee whilst taking advantage of the fresh, mountain air. The bed and linens were also perfect.
The customer service received from both the hotel/reception and the restaurant was top - warm, inviting and professional. Check-in was a breeze, even though we arrived quite late. The head receptionist, Antonio, was super friendly and obliging - we had great banter, as well as help printing out a bunch of documents without any hesitation.
The highlight though was the restaurant. The food was divine, especially the pizzas (well done pizzaiolos!). The other offerings were also very delicious. Vlatka, the charismatic and personable manager was such a delight to see each day - always approaching us with a huge, genuine smile and gave us some great to-do tips for our stay. We ended up eating there most days as we enjoyed the service and the food so much. The breakfast was also a definite plus, with so much fresh variety on offer.
I have to say, Hotel Cervo ticks all the boxes for me.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable! We will be recommending the hotel and Sils- Maria...
