Hotel Post Sils-Maria — Restaurant in Sils im Engadin/Segl

We spent a couple of days over Christmas at this hotel. The room was tiny - barely enough for 2 adults. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Even though it was 'included' in the price of our stay, eggs were an additional charge. Be warned about the car park - choose the $0 excess on your rental or you will need the help of one other person to spot the walls as you enter and exit the garage. It is near impossible to manage on your own due to the tightness and lack of lighting. A real nightmare.||||The restaurant will set you back as much as many other restaurants in the heart of St Moritz, despite being away from the heart of town or having any real views. Our meals were average and very much overpriced.||||The only positives about this hotel were 1. The price was cheaper than almost all other 4 star hotels within the area and 2. The bus stop is out the front of the hotel, making it very convenient to get to the ski slopes or into town.||||We booked via Booking.com and paid in full months in advance. Despite this, the hotel requested more money due to the exchange rate between AUD and CHF resulting in a loss on their behalf. ||||All in all, if you are looking at hotel because of price (being cheaper than other hotels in the area), keep in mind that there is no reasonably priced restaurants or activities in the area. We spent there our long weekend. Please is clean, well organized. Breakfast veraity is not big, but tasty. Rooms are simple, but clean. Had a dinner in the hotel Restaurant. avarage, and very expensive wine. Wine is the same as they sell in local COOP near by, but costs 10 times more. What we really did not like is a behaviour of reception staff. They tried to smile, but were very stressed. Another not nice Thing: parking. We have been told that , if we have a car they have a space for us, gave us a Special Card and asked to park a car in a local Underground parking area, from where you have to walk back. surprisingly upon the chek out we have been asked to pay 22 CHF for 2 nights parking!!!!!!!!
