Matterhorn Inn — Hotel in Täsch

I recently had a good business stay at the Matterhorn Inn Hotel. My initial single room, which I occupied for the first two nights, unfortunately suffered from some noise issues due to its proximity to the elevator, which wasn't ideal for a productive business trip. 🚪😫 However, the exceptional customer service provided by Claudine deserves a special mention. She went above and beyond to ensure my business stay was as comfortable as possible, and I'm incredibly grateful for her outstanding efforts. 👏👏

After discussing the noise issue with the staff, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a double room for the remaining nights of my stay, which turned out to be a game-changer for my productivity. 🎁💫 The new room was considerably quieter as it was further away from the elevator, allowing me to focus on my work in peace. 🤫

It's worth noting that the hotel's walls seemed a bit thin, which made it easier for noise to travel between rooms. This might be attributed to the age and structure of the building, but it was a minor inconvenience. 🏨🔊

On a positive note, the double room I moved to was wonderfully renovated and modernized, providing an excellent space to work and rest in style. The modern amenities and comfortable atmosphere of the double room were truly appreciated during my business stay. 🛋️💼

EDITED: I appreciate the smart move that the hotel has done in the comments, but unfortunately that’s lies) Hotel offered us vine after I posted the comment and that’s what I appreciate also, but this does not change the fact that I have written about. BTW the new room that we changed first one for is good and it totally matches the photos. Also the hotel staff is very friendly. I was going to change the mark I left but after lies in the comments I won’t. Got to take your faults.

Original comment: Got a totally different room from what I have booked. Left a message while booking that I would be happy with a higher floor and a nice view. In fact it would be awesome if the room we got at least matches the photos on the hotel website/booking com. They don’t even have anything like the room we got on the sites. It’s much older, like there wasn’t any renewal at all. And the view is just a small window looking at the wall of the next hotel. And the desired higher floor in fact appeared the ground floor. Administrator offered us another room for the next night saying the one we got is the last one available for this night. No problem with this but still I have payed for a totally different room. Room I got still may exist, but should be fairly sold for a lower price. Disappointed...

The staff were very friendly. Even though they seemed short-staffed every day, we still received very good service. The food at the restaurant is DELICIOUS! The breakfast is basic, but really good and has options for everyone -- from overnight oats to eggs & bacon to yogurt & fruit, and a whole selection of fresh breads, cheeses and vegetable. We had a room with a balcony and a view of the mountains which was quite lovely. The hot tub wasn't very hot, but we still enjoyed it. The dry sauna was amazing and has the option to pour water over the rocks to create steam. The wet sauna was not working while we were there (which is fine by me because I prefer the dry sauna). The gym is very basic with just a bench press and some free weights. The hours of the sauna and gym are only 4pm - 9pm, so that was a little restricting since we skied all day, went to dinner, showered, and by that time most nights it was 9pm. We were able to find a workaround though so it was a non-issue. Location is super convenient right across from the train station that takes you to Zermatt fairly quickly. I highly recommend the...
